摘要: Toner image forming stations form toner images that are electrostatically transferred to the intermediate transfer member. The composite toner image is transferred to the transfuse member at the second transfer nip. The temperature of the transfuse member in the second transfer nip is above the glass transition temperature of the toner image. The toner image is generally transferred and fused to the substrate in the third transfer nip.

摘要: An intermediate transfer member defines a transfer nip with a transfuse member. A cooling platen contacts the intermediate transfer member in the post-transfer nip region. The cooling platen absorbs heat from the intermediate transfer member to evaporate a liquid into a gas. The gas is directed to a heating platen contacting the pre-nip region of the intermediate transfer member. The heating platen condenses the gas to a liquid to heat the intermediate transfer member.

摘要: An apparatus which develops an electrostatic latent image recorded on a photoconductive member used in an electrophotographic printing machine. The apparatus employs a developer material which ages during the life of the electrophotographic printing machine. Carrier granules are added to the developer material to extend the life of the developer material. When the quantity of developer material exceeds a predetermined quantity, developer material exits therefrom through an exit port. A magnetic flux field is generated in the region of the exit port to form a carrier bead curtain which prevents the passage of toner particles therethrough while permitting developer material and carrier granules to exit therefrom.
