    摘要: A process for the in situ blending of polymers comprising continuously contacting, under polymerization conditions, a mixture of ethylene and at least one alpha-olefin having at least 3 carbon atoms with a catalyst in at least two fluidized bed reactors connected in series, said catalyst comprising:(i) a complex consisting essentially of magnesium titanium, a halogen, and an electron donor;(ii) at least one activator compound for the complex having the formula AlR".sub.e X'.sub.f H.sub.g wherein X' is Cl or OR'"; R" and R'" are saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon radicals having 1 to 14 carbon atoms and are alike or different; f is 0 to 1.5; g is 0 or 1; and e+f+g=3; and(iii) a hydrocarbyl aluminum cocatalyst, the polmerization conditions being such that ethylene copolymer having a high melt index in the range of about 0.1 to about 1000 grams per 10 minutes is formed in at least one reactor and ethylene copolymer having a low melt index in the range of about 0.001 to about 1.0 gram per 10 minutes is formed in at least one other reactor, each copolymer having a density of about 0.860 to about 0.965 gram per cubic centimeter and a melt flow ratio in the range of about 22 to about 70, and being admixed with active catalyst.

    摘要: A process for the production of EPDM comprising reacting ethylene, propylene, ethylidene norbornene, and hydrogen, in the gas phase, in a fluidized bed, under polymerization conditions, in the presence of a catalyst system comprising:(a) a titanium based catalyst having the formula Mg.sub.a Ti(OR).sub.b X.sub.c (ED).sub.d whereinR is an aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon radical having 1 to 14 carbon atoms or COR' wherein R' is an aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon radical having 1 to 14 carbon atoms;each OR group is alike or different;each X is independently chlorine, bromine, or iodineED is an electron donora is 0.5 to 56;b is 0, 1, or 2;c is 2 to 116; andd is greater than 1.5 a+2;(b) at least one modifier having the formula BX.sub.3 or AlR.sub.(3-b) X.sub.b wherein each R is alkyl or aryl and is alike or different, and X and b are as defined above for component (a),wherein components (a) and (b) are impregnated into an inorganic support; and(c) a hydrocarbyl aluminum cocatalyst with the following proviso:(i) the partial pressure of ethylene is in the range of about 10 to about 150 psi;(ii) the molar ratio of propylene to ethylene is in the range of about 1.5:1 to about 5:1;(iii) the molar ratio of hydrogen to ethylene is in the range of about 0.001:1 to about 0.1:1; and(iv) the amount of ethylidene norbornene is about 1.5 to about 15 percent by weight based on the weight of the fluidized bed.

    摘要: A process comprising contacting a mixture comprising ethylene and 1-octene in the gas phase, in a fluidized bed reactor, under polymerization conditions, with a catalyst system comprising:(a) the reaction product of a vanadium compound and an electron donor impregnated into an inorganic support;(b) a halocarbon promoter; and(c) a hydrocarbyl aluminum cocatalyst with the following proviso:(i) the partial pressure of ethylene is in the range of about 50 to about 90 psi;(ii) the partial pressure of 1-octene is in the range of about 1.5 to about 2.5 psi;(iii) the temperature in the reactor is in the range of about 5.degree. C. to about 20.degree. C. above the dew point of 1-octene;(iv) the molar ratio of 1-octene to ethylene is in the range of about 0.02:1 to about 0.04:1; and, optionally,(v) the superficial gas velocity is in the range of about 1.4 to about 2.7 feet per second.
