摘要:
A method and apparatus for continuously producing a charge gas mixture for the operation of an internal combustion engine in which liquid hydrocarbons are partially oxidized into a combustible gas mixture within a reactor under insufficiency of air, whereby the liquid hydrocarbons are admixed at a predetermined ratio below the stoichiometric ratio to a first partial air quantity flow which is preheated prior to entry into the reactor, in which additionally the hot gas mixture formed in the reactor is cooled off while giving off at least a considerable part of its heat to the first partial air quantity flow, is mixed with a second partial air quantity flow at least at a stoichiometric approximately constant mixture ratio and is fed to the internal combustion engine; the second partial air quantity flow itself or a quantity flow containing the second partial air quantity flow as a predominant component is continuously measured as regards quantity and the supply of the liquid hydrocarbons is metered as a function of the measurement of the magnitude of this quantity flow while the quantity flow of the gas mixture formed by the reactor is throttled in relatively hot condition.
摘要:
An apparatus for producing a defined fuel vapor-air mixture for engines with an intake manifold. The apparatus including a float chamber and a vaporizing chamber accommodating a heated vaporizer surface. The intake manifold is provided with a first fixed restrictor or nozzle and a liquid space of the float chamber and a liquid space of the vaporizing chamber are connected with each other by a conduit. A gas space of the float chamber, as seen in a flow direction upstream of the first restrictor or nozzle, and a gas space of the vaporizing chamber as seen in a flow direction downstream of the restrictor or nozzle, are respectively connected to the intake manifold by means of conduits. A conduit from the gas space of the vaporizing chamber into the intake manifold is provided with a second fixed restrictor or nozzle causing a pressure drop of about 85%-99.99% of the first restrictor or nozzle. The vaporizer surface is arranged above the liquid level adjusted by the float chamber in such a way that the wetted vaporizer surface increases with a rinsing liquid level.
摘要:
A device for the production of a fuel vapor/air mixture for spark-ignition engines comprising a float chamber and a vaporizer chamber with heated vaporizer surface, an intake pipe being provided with a first fixed diaphragm or nozzle, the liquid spaces of the vaporizer chamber and of the float chamber being connected to each other by means of a line, the gas space of the float chamber being connected upstream of the diaphragm or nozzle, viewed in the direction of flow, and the gas space of the vaporizer chamber being connected downstream of the diaphragm or of the nozzle, viewed in the direction of flow, to the intake pipe, by means of lines in each case, and the line from the gas space of the vaporizer chamber into the intake pipe being provided with a second fixed diaphragm or nozzle, which induces a pressure drop of 85 to 99.99% of the first diaphragm or nozzle, and a damping line being arranged between float chamber and vaporizer chamber at the height of the liquid level when the engine is at rest, through which line liquid can pass from the vaporizer chamber into the float chamber, or vice versa, when pressure peaks occur, without the entire liquid columns in the vaporizer chamber and float chamber having to be set in motion. This prevents fluid pulsations which may otherwise occur and make it possible for the engine to run smoothly.
