Then, a rotational torque of a motor is selected to a predetermined reduction ratio corresponding to at least one of the state signal and the external signal from a plurality of torques. The motor is controlled to a predetermined torque, to thereby wind the webbing on the spool.

    摘要: A buckle is provided with a non-contact buckle switch to find an engagement condition with a tongue. When a lock member of the buckle is disposed in a locking position, a magnetic field produced by a magnet and applied to an IC Hall element differs from a case where the lock member is disposed in a non-locking position. The difference of the magnetic field is caused by the magnetic lock member moved close to the magnet and the IC Hall element, whereby an electrical current outputted by the electromotive force of the IC Hall element is changed. Thus, it is possible to determine that the lock pin is set in the locking position. The buckle switch is improved in durability and can operate more reliably.

    摘要: This invention provides a composition useful for diagnosing cancer which specifically recognizes a galactosyl-globoside. Preferably, the composition is a monoclonal antibody which specifically recognize the galactosyl-globoside antigen, gal-Gb4.Additionally, the present invention provides two hybridoma cell lines, designated J309 and D579, which produce monoclonal antibodies that specifically recognize gal-Gb4.The invention also provides a method of diagnosing a carcinoma which comprises contacting a sample from a human subject with a composition which specifically recognizes a galactosyl-globoside antigen and is labeled with a detectable moiety, under suitable conditions so as to form a detectable complex. The amount of formed complex is then quantified and correlated with values obtained from subjects devoid of carcinomas.Another aspect of the invention provides a method of treating carcinoma which comprises administering an effective amount of galactosyl-globoside or an analog thereof and a pharmaceutically carrier to stimulate the body production of antibodies.

    摘要: A paper loading system for use in a printer has a platen and a paper bail mounted with two rollers. A carriage having a projection is provided to move parallelly to the platen. At the free end of the projection, a photodetector is provided to detect an edge of a loaded paper so as to memorize the opposite ends of the loaded paper. When the paper bail is in a pressing position at which rollers are holding the paper on a path of advance of the paper, no engagement is accomplished between the projection and the rollers. But when the paper bail is in a releasing position at which rollers are separated from the path to release the paper, the projection may come into contact with rollers to change the position of rollers. Using the memorized data, the movements of the carriage and the paper bail are controlled to locate the rollers at the opposite side rims of the loaded paper.

    摘要: A paper sheet setting mechanism in a printer such as an ink jet system printer includes a memory device which stores a desired left setting position at which a left paper pressing roller should be positioned, and a desired right setting position at which a right paper pressing roller should be positioned. C-shaped guide plates are secured to the paper pressing rollers. Each of the C-shaped guide plates includes a roof member which is made contact with a pritrusion secured to a printer head when a shaft of the paper pressing rollers is held at a first stable position. When the printer head is driven to shift while the shaft is held at the first stable position, the paper pressing rollers are shifted on the shaft and controlled to be positioned at the desired left and right setting positions, respectively.

After fastening the seat belt, the seat belt is automatically wound, and after a predetermined time from completion of winding of the webbing, it is determined whether the winding of the webbing is further needed, and if necessary, the webbing is wound again.

The speed-reduction mechanism winds the webbing at a low speed for fitting the webbing to an occupant, and includes a contrate gear with a predetermined reduction gear ratio. Thus, the webbing is wound by operation of the motor via the contrate gear.

A speed-reduction mechanism is interposed between the motor and the spool. The speed-reduction mechanism includes at least one transmission train with a predetermined gear ratio, a common transmission element connected to the transmission train, and a resistant torque device connected to the transmission train. The common transmission element transmits rotation of the motor to the spool when the torque of the rotation is smaller than the preset value. Winding of the webbing is made based on the wearing condition of the webbing and the running condition of the vehicle.
