    摘要: A light-emitter emits light into a door opening of an automatic door system. A light-receiver receives light from the light-emitter which has passed through the door opening and develops a light-reception indicative signal. A door controller causes the light-emitter to stop emitting light and, thereafter, start emitting light. An auxiliary sensor is judged to be operating in order when the light-receiver does not develop light-reception indicative signal in a state where the light-emitter is not emitting light, and, thereafter, develops a light-reception indicative signal when the light-emitter resumes emitting light; otherwise, the auxiliary sensor is judged to be out of order.

    摘要: Whether interruption is present in the connections of automatic door constituting units is detected.A plurality of automatic door constituting units (4, 8, 10, 12, 20, 24 and 26) are interconnected in such a manner that they can communicate with each other via a bus (2). The automatic door constituting units include a door controller (4) for controlling opening and closing of a door. The door controller (4) successively calls the other automatic door constituting units one by one via the bus (2), and the other automatic door constituting units send a response to the calling via the bus (2). The door controller (4) judges that the automatic door constituting unit the door controller (4) called is disconnected from the bus (2), when said called automatic door constituting unit does not send a response within a predetermined time after the calling.

    摘要: A maintenance station monitors and maintains a plurality of automatic door systems at remote locations. Each door system includes a control unit for controlling the operation of an automatic door, and a self-diagnosing arrangement which operates in conjunction with the control operation of the control unit, to inspect the automatic door system for malfunctioning or broken part of the door system. When a failure is found in the automatic door system, the self-diagnosing arrangement of that door system sends information identifying that door system and information identifying the malfunctioning or broken part to the maintenance station via modems and telephones.
