Abstract:
The present invention was related to the development of a novel, distinct high yielding plant with rapid regeneration ability obtained through screening of the somaclones in a methodical way for fast regeneration in the tissue culture stage itself which was achieved by inventing the plant ‘Kushal’. The plant yield higher herbage with corresponding high essential oil when evaluated with available superior varieties of mint in late planting condition during April when the fields are vacated after the harvest of Rabi crop like wheat, chickpea, coriander etc. Further the suckers required for commercial vegetative planting can be produced even in low land condition as the plant is reasonably tolerant to water logging compared to the best check ‘Kosi’.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a new and distinct mint plant of Mentha piperita ‘Cim Indus’, selected through screening, field trial and analysis of monoterpene constituents of the essential oil of the germplasm, possessing the characters of producing high amount of menthofuran ranging between 22 to 30% of total oil content, high amount pulegone ranging between 9.0 to 18% of total oil content, with essential oil content ranging between 0.32 to 0.40% of the total oil content.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a catalyst for generating hydrogen, containing a composite metal of iron and nickel, the catalyst used in a decomposition reaction of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of hydrazine and hydrates thereof; and a method for generating hydrogen, including contacting the catalyst for generating hydrogen with at least one compound selected from the group consisting of hydrazine and hydrates thereof.According to the invention, hydrogen can be efficiently generated with improved selectivity in the method for generating hydrogen that utilizes the decomposition reaction of hydrogen.

Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a benzylamide compound or a salt thereof that controls a mite. The present invention provides a benzylamide compound represented by Formula (1): or a salt thereof, wherein R1 represents C1-6 alkyl or C1-6 haloalkyl; R2 and R3 are identical or different and each represent hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro, C1-6 alkyl, or the like; R4 represents hydrogen, formyl C1-6 alkyl, or the like; R5 and R6 are identical or different and each represent hydrogen, halogen, or C1-6 alkyl, or the like; R7, R8, R9, R10, and R11 are identical or different and each represent hydrogen, halogen, or the like; X represents oxygen or sulfur; and n represents an integer of 0 to 2.
Abstract:
An adhesive bandage is provided which has at least four arms instead of standard two where two of which being of a different length than other two to resist its removal from skin by a baby. The adhesive bandage includes a first and a second bandage arms and a third and a fourth bandage arms. The first and second bandage arms are transverse to the third and fourth bandage arms. The first and second bandage arms are longer in length to the third and fourth bandage arms. The adhesive bandage further includes a medicated pad at an intersection of the first and second bandage arms and the third and fourth bandage arms. In one embodiment, the new bandage includes an adhesive strip and a clip such that the adhesive strip is looped through the clip. In another embodiment, the new bandage includes an adhesive strip and a Velcro strap such that the adhesive strip is looped through the Velcro strap.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for automatic speech recognition by training a neural network to learn features from raw speech. The system comprises a neural network executing on a computer system and comprising a feature extractor, a label classifier, and a domain classifier. The feature extractor processes raw speech data and generates a first output data. The label classifier processes the first output data and generates a second output data. The domain classifier processes the first output data and generating a third output data. The neural network calculates first loss data based on the second output, and second loss data based on the third output. Further, the neural network is trained to minimize a cross-entropy cost of the label classifier and to maximize a cross-entropy cost of the domain classifier using the first loss data and the second loss data.
Abstract:
Techniques for cross referencing data are presented. A first database object and a second database object are linked together. The linkage is automatically cross referenced to a third database object. Access to any of the database objects can be achieved via any of the remaining database objects and vice versa. Additionally, the link and cross reference can be visualized and visually manipulated and modified.
Abstract:
A system comprises a data store that stores an audio base content of text present in a hard copy book or an eBook having a plurality of pages with one or more actual book images and a book images base content present in the one or more actual book images of the plurality of pages of the hard copy book or the eBook. The book images base content has content synchronization information that correlates positions of the one or more actual book images within the audio base content with a physical location of appearance of each actual book image of the one or more actual book images on a particular page of the hard copy book or the eBook. The system further comprises a computing device configured to at least: receive a request for playback of the audio base content stored in the data store and in response to the request for playback of the audio base content, retrieve or stream from the data store in a sequence the one or more actual book images within a user interface of an audio application (APP) so that each actual book image appears in the user interface at a designated time in an audio stream of the hard copy book or the eBook. The designated time is based on the content synchronization information.
Abstract:
The present invention deals with a mycoherbicidal isolate of Setosphaeria monoceras sp. or extracts obtained therefrom, useful for the control of Water hyacinth. The present invention also discloses biological control compositions comprising fungal isolate extract formulated in a growth medium for maintaining the viability of extract when the biological control composition is applied to weed. The present invention also discloses methods of screening fungal isolate to determine if they exhibit biocontrol activity. The present invention also discloses use of Setosphaeria monoceras strain. In yet a further aspect the invention relates to use of an Setosphaeria strain for producing a herbicidal agent effective for controlling growth of water hyacinth plants. The strain used preferably is a strain having the characterizing features of Setosphaeria strain AGWH#1 1 as deposited at IMTECH under accession number MTCC 5974. The present invention to provide the 18s rRNA sequence analysis showed 96% nucleotide similarity of the Fungi to Setosphaeria monoceras. (AGBIO designated AGWH#1 1/NCIM1370/MTCC 5974) but also indicated nucleotide variation of this fungus from other known genus of Bipolaris, Pleosporaceae, Cochiliobolus, Alternaria including an environmentally acceptable alternative to synthetic chemical herbicides for the control of weeds, such as Water hyacinth. The present invention also discloses methods of whole genome study of strain.
