    摘要: A concrete exclusion structure is formed by a housing having a shell, end walls, and one or more score lines of reduced wall thickness. The housing defines an interior void that is dimensioned to enclose a coupler assembly. Knockouts in the end walls or knockout cones allow passage of tubes associated with the coupler assembly. The exclusion structure prevents uncured concrete from contacting the coupler assembly. The structure can fracture after the concrete has cured thereby allowing portions of the coupler assembly to move relative to each other. Such fracture is typically about one of the score lines.

    摘要: A sealing ring having a flexible ring body and a front and rear seal separated by a channel and a set screw recess adjacent one end. The sealing ring is placed on the end of a set screw electrical fitting or connector and forms a seal between the body of the set screw electrical fitting or connector and the exterior surface of an electrical conduit. The sealing ring prevents concrete from entering a gap formed between the body of the set screw electrical fitting or connector and an electrical conduit during pouring of concrete. Concrete entering the gap may interfere with electrical connections.

    摘要: An electrical fitting having a gripping device with a plurality of gripping tabs forming a helix or spiral. The gripping tabs have a twist creating increased pullout resistance and easier disassembly. The electrical fitting permits electrical metallic tubing or EMT to be quickly attached to and removed from the electrical fitting without disassembling the fitting or cutting the tubing. A body with a locking end having a plurality of griping tabs receives an end of the tubing pushed into the fitting. The gripping tabs securely hold the tubing preventing loosening or removal. The helix or spiral and twist formation of the griping tabs permits easy removal of the tubing by rotating the tubing counter-clockwise.

    摘要: A grounding fitting for mounted engagement with an electrical enclosure has an elongated body with a first generally cylindrically shaped section and a hub section. Both sections have a longitudinally extending passageway dimensioned for passage of a ground electrode/ground rod. The first section includes a threaded aperture for receipt of a screw to electrically and mechanically secure a ground electrode/ground rod to the grounding fitting. The hub section is also dimensioned to secure a rigid or EMT conduit thereto. The first section includes a flange at one end with associated threads formed in the outer surface of the first section to mechanically and electrically secure the grounding fitting to an electrical enclosure with a locking ring. An O-ring positioned in the flange provides a fluid resistant barrier relative to the interior of the electrical enclosure.

    摘要: A coupling for coupling ends of a rigid conduit together having a removable stop. A cylindrical sleeve has a removable stop that permits positioning of the cylindrical sleeve entirely on one end of a conduit having limited axial movement that is being repaired. The cylindrical sleeve is then axially or longitudinally positioned over a gap between the ends of the conduit being repaired and the retractable stop is lowered and positioned within the gap. A window within the cylindrical sleeve facilitates positioning of the retractable stop within the gap. Set screws secure the ends of the conduit within the cylindrical sleeve. Rigid conduit may be repaired without having to disconnect the distant or remote ends of the rigid conduit.

A snap in or push in electrical connector having a zinc body and spring steel components plated with high conductivity metal, such as tin, providing a reduced voltage drop across the attached electrical connector. In an embodiment, a connector assembly has a connector body having opposed end openings provided with an outer surface that slopes downwardly toward the outlet opening. The inlet opening having placed therein cable retainer inserts. A sloping or frustro-conical, snap fit, snap in, or push in outer retaining ring with locking tangs is provided for snap locking the outlet end portion of the connector body to an electrical box or panel. Improved conductivity or continuity is obtained and a good electrical ground is formed between the electrical box and connector assembly.

    摘要: A moisture proof, telescoping coupler assembly for electric metal tubes and threaded rigid pipe with an enhanced grounding arrangement both internally and externally for electrically grounding and bonding the telescoping tube to the coupler body and improved continuity. A high conductivity metal plating on an internal cantered spring improves continuity and lowers voltage drop. Moisture proof sealing is improved by centering the electric metal tube within the coupler body adjacent the seal preventing possible leaking after securing the electric metal tube to one end. A modified arrangement utilizes a snap fitting retaining ring for securing an electric metal tube to the coupler body to provide for unidirectional insertion of an electric metal tube into the open end of a coupler body in a manner that prohibits unintentional separation of the tube and/or retainer ring from the coupler body.
