Abstract:
A solar thermal collector and an accessory structure of a building are provided. The solar thermal collector includes at least one heat absorbing plate and at least one heat insulating plate. Each of the heat absorbing plate includes at least one first slab and first engaging parts connected with the first slab. Each of the heat insulating plate includes at least one second slab and second engaging parts connected with the second slab. The first engaging parts are respectively engaged with the second engaging parts, and a gap is maintained between the first slab and the second slab to define a heat collecting channel, through which a heat transfer fluid flows between the heat absorbing plate and the heat insulating plate. A heat conductivity of the heat absorbing plate is at least 30 times greater than a heat conductivity of the heat insulating plate.
Abstract:
A solar thermal collecting system, including at least one solar thermal collector and a pressure-adjusting module, is provided. The solar thermal collector includes a container, a light-transmissive cover that seals the container, and a plurality of solar thermal collecting pipes. The solar thermal collecting pipes are installed in the container, so as to allow a heat transfer material to flow therein. The outer surfaces of the solar thermal collecting pipes are correspondingly deposited with solar selective coatings for absorbing solar radiation energy, transforming the radiation energy into thermal energy, and transmitting thermal energy to the heat transfer material flowing in the solar thermal collecting pipes. The pressure-adjusting module controls the heat loss rate of the solar thermal collector by adjusting the air pressure inside the solar thermal collector and controlling the direction of air circulation to flow in or out of the solar thermal collector.
Abstract:
A special path generating device includes a base, a first axis slide assembly, a second axis slide assembly, a working portion, a driving portion, a first cam and a second cam. This first axis slide assembly includes a first bar and a first slide. The second axis slide assembly includes a second bar and a second slide. This working portion is mounted on the second slide that has two contacting portions. The driving portion is mounted on the base. When the driving portion drives the driving shaft rotating, the first cam and the second cam rotate accordingly and makes the working portion generating a special path. It can generate a constant-speed circular movement. It is easy to control. In addition, its volume is small.
Abstract:
A multi-connector set for signal testing having a rectangular base seat installed with a fixed testing connector and two adjustable testing connectors provided at the two lateral sides of the fixed testing connector for adjusting spaces of them from the fixed testing connector. The fixed and the adjustable testing connectors each has an SMA female connector, the base seat has on its bottom a cylindrical shank that has a bottom protecting cylinder to be moved up and down by protruding and retracting or be rotated or tilted, and each fixed and each adjustable testing connector has at its bottom a probe which further has a secondary female probe moving up and down by protruding and retracting; the secondary female probe has a bottom recess to be slipped over a probe at the center of an I-PEX connector. Thereby, multiple microwave electric circuits can be tested at one time to save time; and insertion holes on the bottoms of the fixed and the adjustable testing connector can be correctly slipped over the central probe of the I-PEX connector every time, this can increase the correctness of tested results.
Abstract:
The invention provides biodegradable implants sized for implantation in an ocular region and methods for treating medical conditions of the eye. The implants are formed from a mixture of hydrophilic end and hydrophobic end PLGA, and deliver active agents into an ocular region without a high burst release.

Abstract:
Implants and methods are provided for modulating wound healing and controlling infection to improve the success of glaucoma filtration surgery. Formulations of one or more therapeutically active agents and a biodegradable polymer provide a substantially constant rate of release for an extended period of time.
Abstract:
A process for the preparation of a guanidinium 5,5'-azotetrazolate by reacting 5-aminotetrazolate monohydrate with potassium permanganate in an aqueous hydroxide solution to form sodium 5,5'-azotetrazolate dihydrate as an intermediate, then reacting 5,5'-azotetrazolate dihydrate with guanidine nitrate or guanidine chloride to obtain guanidinium 5,5'-azotetrazolate.
Abstract:
Compositions and methods for disinfecting and cleaning contact lenses include a liquid medium containing hydrogen peroxide and a defined ethylene oxide/propylene oxide block copolymer. An advantageously reduced amount of foaming occurs when the hydrogen peroxide is destroyed, particularly by the action of catalase.
Abstract:
Compositions and methods useful for disinfecting a contact lens are disclosed. The present methods comprise contacting a contact lens with a liquid medium containing an effective amount of an oxidative disinfectant component at conditions to effectively disinfect the contact lens. The contacting occurs in the presence of a color indicator component which is soluble in the liquid medium and is adapted to provide a color indication of the presence of the oxidative disinfectant component in the liquid medium. The color indicator component comprises an effective amount of a transition metal component which is redox active, has an oxidized state of a first color and a reduced state of a different second color and a polyanionic component in an amount effective to inhibit the staining of the contact lens by the transition metal component.
