Abstract:
A system for clearing a blockage in a patient can include a tubular member that defines a channel, the tubular member being insertable into an esophagus of the patient. The system can further include a catheter assembly that includes a catheter tube, which defines a length greater than a length of the tubular member and is passable through the channel of the tubular member while the tubular member is positioned in the esophagus of the patient. The catheter tube can include a distal tip that defines a cutting element to core the blockage positioned in the esophagus of the patient. The catheter assembly can further include a proximal end coupled with the catheter tube, the proximal end being couplable with a vacuum line such that, when suction is provided via the vacuum line, advancement of the catheter tube into contact with the blockage cores from the blockage a piece of the blockage that is passed through the catheter.
Abstract:
A device is configured to clear a bolus of food impacted within an esophagus, the device including a catheter tube having a hollow interior and a distal end configured to core the bolus of food and a proximal end configured to be coupled to a source of suction to clear the core.
Abstract:
Embodiments of an invention for a compact, low power Advanced Encryption Standard circuit are disclosed. In one embodiment, an apparatus includes an encryption unit having a substitution box and an accumulator. The substitution box is to perform a substitution operation on one byte per clock cycle. The accumulator is to accumulate four bytes and perform a mix-column operation in four clock cycles. The encryption unit is implemented using optimum Galois Field polynomial arithmetic for minimum area.
Abstract:
A multi-core die is provided that allows packets to be communicated across the die using resources of a packet switched network and a circuit switched network.
Abstract:
Systems and methods which facilitate search engine discovery of and/or access to application program content are shown. Declarative code may be provided within the procedural code of a rich Internet application in order to identify various states, and their associated content, of the rich Internet application. A Web crawler may identify content associated with a rich Internet application using the foregoing information. Likewise, direct access to rich Internet application states associated with the identified content may be provided using the foregoing information. A translation module may be provided for interfacing between a Web crawler and a rich Internet application. Such a translation module may interact with the Web crawler to respond to Web crawler navigation instructions and access declarative code associated with different states of the rich Internet application, providing responsive information identifying content in a structure that is compatible with a search engine associated with the Web crawler.
Abstract:
A low loss on-die interconnect structure includes first and second differential signal lines on one of the metal layers of a microelectronic die. One or more traces may also be provided on another metal layer of the die that are non-parallel (e.g., orthogonal) to the differential signal lines. Because the traces are non-parallel, they provide a relatively high impedance return path for signals on the differential signal lines. Thus, a signal return path through the opposite differential line predominates for the signals on the differential lines. In one application, the low loss interconnect structure is used within an on-die salphasic clock distribution network.
Abstract:
In an embodiment, a dynamic bus includes a dynamic bus repeater with a noise margin of about Vcc/2. The bus repeater splits the bus into front and rear segments. The front segment pre-charges while the rear segment evaluates, and vice versa. The dynamic bus repeater hides the pre-charge signal propagated from the front segment from the rear segment while the rear segment is evaluating.
Abstract:
A server-side control object processes and generates a client-side user interface element for display on a web page. Multiple server-side control objects may be combined into a hierarchy of server-side control objects that cooperate to generate the resulting authoring language code, such as HTML, for display of a web page on a client. The operation of processing the client-side user interface element may include at least one of an event handling operation, a postback data handling operation, a data binding operation, and a state management operation. The state management operation relates to the state of a server-side control object.
Abstract:
In a computer environment, a new storage and delivery data format for multimedia object sets increases performance and improves the user experience by reducing the transactions needed to retrieve a set of n objects from n to 1. The object data is interleaved with data definition entries identifying respective object data into a data format comprising a single stream for storage and/or delivery. The data format eliminates the need for multiple, asynchronous transactions thus reducing latency in the data transfer process. Moreover, the data format allows for optimization of how the object data is prioritized and interleaved to achieve desired performance objectives upon delivery of the multimedia objects.
