摘要： A receptacle for use in compacting liquid laden trash and removal of liquid from said trash. The receptable is a bag made from a porous fabric of hydrophobic material which resists leakage of the liquid within the trash. The bag is crushed within a compactor causing liquid to pass out through the wall of the bag. The receptacle includes means to suspend the bag with the opening up in the compactor and to close the opening once the receptacle is removed from the compactor. A handle on the receptacle facilitates removal of the filled receptacle.

摘要： A generally rectangular trash bag for use in an aircraft trash management system. The trash bag includes a non-porous, generally rectangular flexible side wall and a porous, generally rectangular bottom panel, such that when the trash bag is filled with trash and is compacted, any liquid contained in the trash drains through the porous bottom panel. The porous bottom panel of the trash bag is impregnated with one of a non-leaching anti-bacterial agent and a leaching enzyme.

The trash bag has a porous bottom and non-porous sides. The bottom of the trash bag is impregnated with a non-leaching antibacterial and a leaching enzyme. The trash compactor has two chambers separated by a movable wall. One chamber is the compacting chamber and is sealable from ambient cabin pressure and the other chamber is always open to cabin pressure. The bottom of the compacting chamber is provided with an upper drain and a lower drain. The modified bilge valve provides a fluid path to the atmosphere outside the aircraft. The inventor also relates to a central valve assembly for simultaneous compacting and draining.

摘要： An airborne refuse compactor to compact liquid laden trash for storage until the end of the flight. The compactor relies on the difference between pressure within the pressurized passenger cabin and outside pressure at operating altitude. The compactor also discharges to outside atmosphere liquid which has collected on the bottom of the receptacle in which the trash is collected. Liquid is discharged while compaction is taking place.
