摘要： The invention relates to a compound which inhibits the importation of chloride into neurons or a compound which improve the outflow of chloride from neurons thereby promoting the inhibitory actions of GABA and alleviating pain and stress of the fetus during delivery and the newborn. The invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition for use in a method for alleviating pain and stress of the fetus during delivery and the newborn comprising a compound according to the invention and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
