摘要: A process for treating an imaged printing form, in particular a printing form covered with amphiphilic molecules or with polymers, such as saccharides, includes applying a gum, in particular a microscopic gum layer, to the surface of the printing form in the liquid state. The gum is removed or reduced down to a remaining nanoscopic covering after a short or negligible time interval, relative to the time interval until the application of lithographic liquid, for example dampening solution or printing ink, to the surface. The removal or reduction of the gum is preferably carried out in the still liquid state, i.e. before the applied gum dries on, and preferably immediately after the application. The remaining gum covering protects the printing form against contaminants and increases its hydrophily/hydrophoby contrast. An apparatus for treating an imaged printing form, a re-imageable printing form and a machine for processing printing material, are also provided.

摘要: A method of orienting a sheet in a sheet punching and embossing machine and a sheet punching and embossing machine includes at least one processing station, a machine control system and a sheet transport system including circulating gripper carts with gripper bridges on which grippers are secured. The sheet is gripped and moved through the machine by the grippers. The sheet transport system includes circulating chains. The gripper carts include travel carts which are connected to the sheet transport system, and the gripper carts stop at a respective processing station to process the sheet. The gripper bridge of a gripper cart is connected by spring elements to the travel carts, and the gripper bridge includes a contact surface which can be brought into contact with at least one driven adjustment element of a respective processing station to orient the sheet in the processing station and to lower the gripper bridge into the processing stations.

摘要: A method for treating a reusable printing technology surface, preferably a printing form that can be re-imaged, with at least one liquid, for example cleaning fluid, rinsing liquid, solution of amphiphilic molecules or gumming agent, includes rotating the printing technology surface about a cylinder axis, applying the liquid to the printing technology surface in the form of a jet and at a varying angle and contacting the printing technology surface with a movable cloth. The printing technology surface is rotated at a varying rotational speed. The rotational speed is preferably varied in stages, in particular increased, in order to achieve the best possible treatment results, for example cleaning and (re-) covering with amphiphilic molecules. The method can preferably be implemented in a printing press or a plate exposer. A machine for treating a reusable printing technology surface and a machine for processing printing material, are also provided.

摘要: A sheet brake for braking sheets made from a printing material contains circulating brake elements and at least one sheet support that is disposed between the brake elements and forms a blowing device. The sheet support contains a first nozzle array having air nozzles and a second nozzle array having air nozzles. The air nozzles of the first nozzle array are configured to produce blown air volumetric flows, which are smaller than blown air volumetric flows from the air nozzles of the second nozzle array.
