At a transfer point (A), the products (12) are inserted with the leading edges (14) thereof ahead into compartments (22) of a revolving system (20) in the form of a paddle wheel, the compartments moving along a closed revolving path (U), and removed from the compartments (22) at a transfer point (B) by means of grippers (32) of a gripper conveyor (30) and conveyed away. The products are seized by the grippers (32) at the trailing edges (16). The seizing of the trailing edge (16), which preferably is not the folded open product edge, has the advantage that it can be implemented without a complicated engagement of the revolving system (20) and gripper conveyor (30) and that the further conveyance and further processing of the products (12) are simplified.

The sheet is gripped and moved through the machine by the grippers. The sheet transport system includes circulating chains. The gripper carts include travel carts which are connected to the sheet transport system, and the gripper carts stop at a respective processing station to process the sheet. The gripper bridge of a gripper cart is connected by spring elements to the travel carts, and the gripper bridge includes a contact surface which can be brought into contact with at least one driven adjustment element of a respective processing station to orient the sheet in the processing station and to lower the gripper bridge into the processing stations.

    摘要: Sheets are conveyed through a rotary press with linear travel grippers. The novel conveying apparatus prevents collisions between the grippers and printing unit cylinders. The grippers are fixed to circulating links to convey a sheet through a nip between two cylinders that interact during printing. The links and the cylinders are coupled to drives that can be activated separately. In each case a collision disk is mounted on a shaft journal of at least one cylinder. A slip clutch is provided between the collision disk and the cylinder. A braking element is coupled to the grippers which, in the event of non-synchronous running with the cylinder, runs onto the collision disk and prevents the collision disk from moving.

    摘要: A printing apparatus wherein imprinted sheets are provided with cuts surrounding selected areas of the sheets and wherein the cutouts corresponding to such selected areas are thereupon bodily separated from the remnants of the respective sheets during travel between two rotary drums has a sheet transporting unit wherein two endless chains entrain a succession of sheet gripping devices so that the gripping devices engage successive sheets at a station located upstream of the drums and deposit the remnants of sheets downstream of the drums. The gripping devices are normally guided by rails which define therefor an endless path. A portion of each chain and portions of the rails can be pivoted between an operative position in which the endless path is completed and an inoperative position in which the endless path is interrupted. The pivoting takes place about an axis which is parallel with and adjacent to the axis of one of the drums, and such drum moves sideways and away from the other drum in response to pivoting of the movable portions of rails so as to afford access to the space between the drums. The system for moving the portions of rails employs a worm drive having a fixedly mounted worm wheel, a worm which meshes with the worm wheel and is secured to a frame for movable portions of the rails, and a reversible motor which can rotate the worm wheel in two directions.
