    摘要: A surgical pin compression wound dressing stabilizing system includes a compressive wound dressing module having a central orifice and radial slit, and a stabilizing device formed of a single piece of material having a longitudinal passageway and a vertical slit, the slits allowing insertion of the module and stabilizing device on a surgical pin at a wound site with the surgical pin dispose in the orifice and passageway. The stabilizing device has an upright post with the longitudinal passageway and a bottom base with a recessed central cavity open at a bottom that receives and mates with an upper portion of the module. The bottom base has a lower outer annular surface surrounding the central cavity for engaging a peripheral rib on the module to enable application of an equal distribution of a downward compressive pressure on the module.

    摘要: A cylindrical fabric surround including a flexible fabric material which stretches during disposing of the surround over a cylindrical item, such as a bottle, causing a releasable attachment of the bottle surround with the bottle. This cylindrical fabric surround has a cylindrical, or annular surround geometry, whereby a cavity is formed therein by the internal wall of the cylindrical surround, providing a receptacle area or volume for any cylindrical item the cylindrical surround is disposed thereunto. The internal wall of the cavity provides a first wall of the cylindrical surround and the external wall of the cylindrical surround provides a second wall of the cylindrical surround. The surround also has at least one pocket, for storing at least one article, such as a phone, keys or any sundry. The pocket is generally facing upwards, but could have a plurality of pockets with at least one of with varied geometries, orientations, or placement. Bands, such as elastic bands, may be formed thereon the top and bottom of the cylinder, as well as on the top portion of the pocket surface to provide a portion of the releasable attachment to the bottle. The bands may have a diameter that is less than surround wall diameter to provide in the releasable attachment. A friction agent, such as a nonslip fabric coating, may also be applied to the first wall or inside diameter of the surround to aid in improving the releasable attachment of a cylindrical item, such as a bottle, with a first wall of the fabric cylinder surround apparatus 100 when disposed thereunto.

    摘要: A safety shut-off system and method for eliminating power to a load in the event of smoke detection. The system may comprise a device located at the appliance for detecting a signal from a smoke detector, and cutting power to the appliance only when the appliance is in use. The device may be synchronized with any standard smoke alarm signal to reduce the number of false positive shut-offs. The system may also comprise a smoke alarm hard-wired to a circuit breaker, for shutting off power to all appliances on a particular breaker upon receipt of a signal from the smoke alarm, and only when the appliances on the breaker are in use. The system may also have the ability to shut off one breaker, multiple breakers, or all breakers at different time increments to actively prevent and reduce the damages caused by fires.

The method includes generating a positional relationship between one or more support structures having at least one motion capture mark and at least one virtual structure corresponding to geometry of an object to be tracked and positioning the support structures on the object to be tracked. The support structures has sufficient rigidity that, if there are multiple marks, the marks on each support structure maintain substantially fixed distances from each other in response to movement by the object. The method also includes determining an effective quantity of ray traces between one or more camera views and one or more marks on the support structures, and estimating an orientation of the virtual structure by aligning the determined effective quantity of ray traces with a known configuration of marks on the support structures.
