摘要: Methods for local page writes via pre-staging buffers for resilient buffer pool extensions are performed by computing systems. Compute nodes in database systems insert, update, and query data pages maintained in storage nodes. Data pages cached locally by compute node buffer pools are provided to buffer pool extensions on local disks as pre-copies via staging buffers that store data pages prior to local disk storage. Encryption of data pages occurs at the staging buffers, which allows a less restrictive update latching during the copy process, with page metadata being updated in buffer pool extensions page tables with in-progress states indicating it is not yet written to local disk. When stage buffers are filled, data pages are written to buffer pool extensions and metadata is updated in page tables to indicate available/valid states. Data pages in staging buffers can be read and updated prior to writing to the local disk.

摘要: An extended reality headset has light-based communication transceivers coupled to the extended reality headset. The relative position of a remote transceiver with respect to the current position and orientation of the extended reality headset is determined. A line-of-sight is calculated from the light-based communication transceivers to the remote transceiver. The light-based communication transceivers emit a light-based communications beam in accordance with the calculated line-of-sight. The light-based communications beam is adjusted in response to changes to the relative position of the remote transceiver with respect to the current position and orientation of the extended reality headset.

摘要: A method of generating an aggregate saliency map using a convolutional neural network. Convolutional activation maps of the convolutional neural network model are received into a saliency map generator, the convolutional activation maps being generated by the neural network model while computing the one or more prediction scores based on unlabeled input data. Each convolutional activation map corresponds to one of the multiple encoding layers. The saliency map generator generates a layer-dependent saliency map for each encoding layer of the unlabeled input data, each layer-dependent saliency map being based on a summation of element-wise products of the convolutional activation maps and their corresponding gradients. The layer-dependent saliency maps are combined into the aggregate saliency map indicating the relative contributions of individual components of the unlabeled input data to the one or more prediction scores computed by the convolutional neural network model on the unlabeled input data.

摘要: Systems and methods are directed to optimizing survey parameters using machine learning. A network system monitors user activity of a plurality of users with respect to an application and provides a notification to users of the plurality of users that satisfy a trigger condition for providing the notification. The network system obtains feedback corresponding to the notification, whereby the feedback indicates whether each of the users accepted, rejected, or ignored the notification. A machine learning model is then trained using input data obtained from the feedback to optimize on one or more parameters used by the network system in providing a future notification. Based on the machine learning model, the future notification is presented to a further set of users using the one or more optimized parameters.

摘要: In one example, a display unit comprises a display panel that is configured to display digital images. The display unit further comprises an at least partially transparent protective layer that is arranged above the display panel. The display unit further comprises a controller that is communicatively attached onto an upper surface of the display panel. A biometric sensor pattern is integrated in the controller, and the controller is configured to control the biometric sensor pattern.
