    摘要: An electrophotographic toner and a method of preparing the same are provided. The electrophotographic toner includes a latex, a colorant, and a releasing agent, wherein the electrophotographic toner includes silicon (Si) and iron (Fe), each of the Si and Fe is in the range of about 3 to about 1,000 ppm, a mole ratio of Si to Fe (Si/Fe) is in the range of about 0.1 to about 5, an initiation temperature of a maximum heat absorption peak curve when a temperature increases in a heat absorption curve of the toner measured by a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) is in the range of about 68 to about 89° C., and a peak temperature of the maximum heat absorption peak curve is in the range of about 86 to about 89° C.

    摘要: A toner preparation method is provided including: polymerizing a toner composition including a polyester-macromonomer having double bonds at the molecular chain ends and at least one polymerizable monomer to prepare a polymer latex; and mixing the polymer latex with a dispersed pigment solution obtained by dispersing a pigment in a macromonomer having both a hydrophilic group and a hydrophobic group and containing at least one reactive functional group and agglomerating the polymer latex in the presence of an inorganic salt, and a toner prepared using the toner preparation method. The toner has excellent properties of both a polyester-based monomer and a vinyl-based monomer and excellent gloss, durability, low-temperature fixing property, and storage stability, and the shape and size of the toner can be easily controlled.

    摘要: A method of preparing toner and a toner using the method is provided. More particularly, a method of preparing toner controls a shape of finally obtained toner particles by adjusting a molecular weight and Tg of polymer latex and can easily obtain a desired size, shape, and size distribution of toner particles by controlling aggregation of polymer latex particles and process conditions. A toner using the method, an image forming method using the toner and an image forming apparatus including the toner are also provided. The toner is prepared by forming polymer latex particles having different molecular weights by polymerizing a toner composition including macromonomers containing a hydrophilic group, a hydrophobic group and at least one reactive functional group, and at least one polymerizable monomer; and mixing the polymer latex particles having different molecular weights with a pigment dispersion solution to control aggregation of the polymer latex particles by controlling pH or an amount of added inorganic salts and optimizing process conditions.

    摘要: A method of preparing a toner is provided, including: polymerizing a toner composition including a chemically reformed or modified plant oil or a fatty acid, one or more polymerizable monomers, and a colorant with a free radical initiator; and separating and drying the polymerized toner. Also, provided are a toner prepared using the method, an image forming process using the toner, and an image forming apparatus employing the toner. According to the method, an environmentally friendly toner with superior durability and fixation properties is manufactured by using chemically reformed or modified plant oil or fatty acid. Also, regulating the size, the distribution and the configuration of toner particles are easy. In addition, the method does not involve the use or minimizes the use of a surfactant, thus decreasing the amounts of polluted water and waste water, which is very advantageous environmentally.
