    摘要: Invention relates to an improved strain relief member for use in a communication network outlet utilizing a card-edge type connector. The connector typically may comprise a housing having a through cavity containing a plurality of axially arranged terminal contacts, where each contact is composed of a pair of blades having a slot therebetween for receiving a conductor normal to the slot. The contacts are exposed to the rear of the housing, and a card-receiving opening communicates with the through cavity from the front of the housing. The rear portion of the housing is generally of a rectangular cross section having a uniform predetermined height. The improved strain relief member, constructed to be press fit onto the rear portion, comprises a dielectric housing having a top wall, a bottom wall and a rear wall extending therebetween. Internally the top and bottom walls include at least a pair of opposing ribs and that the distance therebetween is slightly less than the predetermined height so as to provide a press fit engagement with the rear portion of the connector housing. As an optional feature, means in the form of a conductor engaging wall are provided in the strain relief member to facilitate its use in stuffing or terminating insulation wrapped conductors in the slots between respective blades.

A cross talk shield (200, 524) is positioned in a stuffer cap (180, 522) and is situated between adjacent terminals (30, 560) when in the final position. Another cross talk shield (220, 320) is positioned in a slot (50, 450) intermediate the terminals (30) at the lower side thereof.

    摘要: An assembly for use in connecting data communications equipment to a data communications network includes a network wiring connector 2, mating modular network connector receptacle inserts 4, a cover 6 and a mounting frame 10. The mounting frame 10 is a one piece member, preferably stamped and formed from a flat metal blank. The mounting frame 10 has a flat rear panel 12 with slots 14 in which the wiring connector 2 is mounted. The insert 4 is an edge card member with a connector interface or receptacle 62 which is aligned with openings 72 in the cover to provide an accessible mating interface for a plug attached to the data communications equipment. Side supports 22 on the mounting frame 10 extend forward to support the front end of the insert 4 and provide latching engagement surface 26 cooperative with snap latches 74 on the insert 4. Frame mounting arms having intermediate sections 16 and distal mounting flange sections 18, 20 extend from the top and bottom of the central rear panel section 12. The frame 10 and the entire assembly can be mounted in a standard wall box.

    摘要: A double-headed five-sided fishing net uses a pair of net heads to enclose a fish from two opposing sides and uses a lateral net to enclose a fish from three additional sides. The lateral net is connected in between the pair of net heads on three sides so that the front side is an opening that can be used to capture fish. A tong assembly allows a user to press the pair of net heads against each other, which puts the fishing net into a closed position. In addition, the tong assembly continuously applies a force by a torsion spring to separate the pair of net heads from each other, which puts the fishing net into an open position. In order to counter the continuous force from the torsion spring, the fishing net has a locking mechanism to hold the tong assembly in the closed position.

    摘要: A double-headed five-sided fishing net is an apparatus that uses a pair of net heads to enclose a fish from two opposing sides and uses a lateral net to enclose a fish from three additional sides. The lateral net is connected in between the pair of net heads on three sides so that the front side is an opening that can be used to capture fish. A tong assembly allows a user to press the pair of net heads against each other, which puts the apparatus into a closed position. In addition, the tong assembly continuously applies a force by means of a torsion spring to separate the pair of net heads from each other, which puts the apparatus into an open position. In order to counter the continuous force from the torsion spring, the apparatus has a locking mechanism to hold the tong assembly in the closed position.

    摘要: A dual modular jack insert subassembly 10 for use in a network outlet assembly 2 or in a patch panel including a mounting insert 16 to which modular jacks 12 with conventional panel stops 14 are attached without the use of additional fasteners. The mounting insert 16 is a molded member with a front window 20 through which the modular jacks 12 are accessible. Latch arms 18 extend rearwardly from the mounting insert, and a snap fastener 22 located on the inside of each latch arm opposes a window jamb 26 on a side of the window. The panel stops 14 cam the snap fastener 2 outward when the modular jacks 12 are inserted from the rear. The panel stops 14 are positioned in a channel 38 between the snap fastener 22 and a front shoulder 28 when properly mounted on the mounting insert 16.
