摘要: A channel baffle structure comprises a pipe, a swing check plate and a driving apparatus, wherein the main part of the swing check plate is located inside the pipe, and the driving apparatus is disposed outside the pipe. A connection structure is used for connecting the driving apparatus and the swing check plate. The check plate can be opened and closed passively by gravity and fluid pressure, but can also be actively opened and closed by the driving apparatus, such that requirements for multiple operating conditions of the channel can be satisfied.

摘要: A block-type movable reflector/moderator (RM) for nuclear reactor control is disclosed. This reactor control system can be applied to all types of reactors regardless of design. This design for reactor control is used in addition to the necessary rod control system in accordance with the 10CFR50 design criteria. 摘要: A standoff supporting a control rod drive mechanism (CRDM) in a nuclear reactor is connected to a distribution plate which provides electrical power and hydraulics. The standoff has connectors that require no action to effectuate the electrical connection to the distribution plate other than placement of the standoff onto the distribution plate. This facilitates replacement of the CRDM. In addition to the connectors, the standoff has alignment features to ensure the CRDM is connected in the correct orientation. After placement, the standoff may be secured to the distribution plate by bolts or other fasteners. The distribution plate may be a single plate that contains the electrical and hydraulic lines and also is strong enough to provide support to the CRDMs or may comprise a stack of two or more plates.

The neutron absorber is a mobile structure configured to partially obstruct a flow of the liquid metal coolant within the flow path. A method of operating a liquid metal cooled reactor may involve the use of the passive shutdown system.

摘要: A control rod driving mechanism, comprising a sealing shell assembly, a travel casing fixedly connected to the sealing shell assembly, a coil assembly sleeved on the sealing shell assembly, and a hook assembly disposed in the sealing shell assembly, wherein the sealing shell assembly comprises a sealing shell and a tube base, and the sealing shell and the tube base form an integral structure. The integral structure eliminates the process for welding the tube base to the sealing shell. In this way, the time for manufacturing and assembling the overall reactor might be saved. Also, compared with the prior art, the reactor employing such scheme would reduce one nuclear first class weld, lowering the risk of leakage. In sum, the structure described above extends the service life of the control rod driving mechanism, and remarkably decreases the work for in-service inspection of the control rod driving mechanism.
