    摘要： An attachable/detachable keyboard apparatus is provided for a portable multi-type computer system. The keyboard apparatus can be secured to an upper surface of main body of the computer system and selectively enable users to input data when the computer (e.g., web pad) is turned on. The keyboard apparatus can be used for a portable multi-type computer with web pad function and notebook personal computer in view that the keyboard apparatus can be easily attached to or detached from the main body of the computer system, thereby helping users to carry the computer more conveniently.

    摘要： An improved portable computer system and corresponding assembly method are provided. A display and input device are joined to a front cover of the computer system, and control circuitry is installed on the rear cover. The front cover and rear cover are then joined to complete assembly of the computer system. A series of simplified attachment mechanisms facilitate ease of assembly, and the addition of barriers between components helps inhibit entry of external contaminants into the system. This improved system provides for simple assembly, disassembly and reassembly for repair, while also providing improved resistance to contamination, thus yielding a more cost effective and reliable product.

    摘要： Embodiments of the present invention relate to an apparatus including a dock and a stand. The dock is configured to receive a portable computer. A stand is pivotably attached to the dock. Some embodiments may have the advantage that a portable computer can be used during travel and used as a desktop computer having a larger keyboard and a wide range of peripheral devices. In some embodiments, the display of the portable computer is used when the portable computer is docked in the dock. Further, because the portable computer can be pivotably attached within the dock, for example by a cradle and arm, the display can be selectively used in a landscape mode or a portrait mode. Particularly, the dock (with the portable computer attached) may be rotatable to change the angle at which a user can view the display. Additionally, because the dock is pivotably attached to the stand there is unique versatility of viewable options of the display of the portable computer, when it is used as a desktop computer.
