摘要: A peristaltic pump that reduces electrical current flowing through a pumping tube segment includes a central rotor mounted on a central rotation axis, a shoe with a curved surface facing toward the central rotor, multiple rollers mounted along the circumference of the central rotor and the pumping tube segment positioned between the curved surface and the central rotor. Each roller of the plurality of rollers is a member of a roller group, each roller group includes at least two rollers, rollers in a particular roller group are physically located closer to each other than to rollers in other roller groups, and at least two rollers pinch a portion of the pumping tube segment against the curved surface through a full rotation of the central rotor.

摘要: A system for preparing a medicament for use by a medicament user includes a proportioning machine with a controller and pumping and clamping actuators to engage a fluid circuit having pumping and clamping portions that engage with respective actuators of the proportioning machine. The fluid circuit includes a mixing container that is initially empty and later filled with two different concentrated medicaments from different concentrate containers and with purified water. The proportioning machine is configured to receive purified water and to mix it with the concentrated medicaments to produce a medicament and to output the medicament to a medicament consumer in such a way that to the medicament consumer the medicament appears to be provided from a bag of medicament. Custom mini batches of medicament may be produced by varying the amount of the concentrates and water.

摘要: A treatment system for performing a treatment on a patient may include a treatment fluid preparation device having a pump connected by a fluid channel to a reservoir of a source fluid, the pump conveying the source fluid from the reservoir, through a filter, and combining the source fluid with a concentrate by pumping the source fluid with the concentrate to form a treatment fluid in a batch container. The treatment fluid preparation device may have a controller that controls a heater, the pump, and a memory. The controller starts the heater to warm the treatment fluid in the batch container at a time that is responsive to the treatment time stored in the memory. The controller also detects a pressure property of the filter to determine its integrity and outputs an indication of a failed batch if the pressure property indicates the integrity of the filter is insufficient.

摘要: A treatment device system includes a treatment machine for performing a therapy on a patient, the treatment machine including at least one fluid conveyor and a controller, the controller having a first memory, to cause the at least one fluid conveyor to produce a therapeutic fluid by mixing purified water and at least one concentrate. The system also includes a water purifier with an internal central controller, in fluid communication with and providing the purified water to the treatment machine. A wired or wireless control line provides two way communication between the controller of the treatment machine and the internal central controller of the water purifier, the controller of the treatment machine transmitting data via the control line to the internal central controller of the water purifier for control of the water purifier, the data provided based on at least one of the operator inputs received via the user interface.

摘要: A sensor/transducer for use in reducing leakage current from a patient fluidly connected to a medical device by tubing filled with a conductive fluid (e.g., blood or dialysate (a “fluid line”)) includes a magnetically conductive core with 1) a centrally located support for a coil of fluid line, and 2) coiled electrical conductors located at positions that are spaced from the centrally located support, on opposite sides of the centrally located support. The sensor/transducer can be used to measure leakage current carried by the conductive fluid in the fluid line, or it can be used to induce current in the fluid line in a manner that reduces the leakage current.

摘要: A cartridge insertion system includes a chassis supporting a fluid circuit, the chassis having a forward end with key pins projecting from the forward end and a rear end. The system also includes a medical treatment device with a slot opening closed by doors having a major dimension and having key openings spaced apart a same distance as the key pins on the chassis, such that when the chassis is pushed toward the slot opening, the key pins enter the key openings before the forward end meets the doors. The key pins push against latches that hold the door locked shut, so that the doors will not open if a cartridge without key pins is pressed against the door. When a cartridge with key pins is used, the doors unlock and allow the cartridge to be inserted.

摘要: According to embodiments, priming systems, methods, and devices are disclosed which allow medical treatment devices which pump fluid to be primed with minimal operator intervention and a high level of convenience. A blood circuit with a filter fitted with one or more air vents on a non-blood compartment is attached to a treatment system and priming fluid pumped slowly through the blood circuit in a loop. The source of fluid may be elevated, or the pumping may generate pressure, such that priming fluid is forced through the membrane of the filter and out the air vent(s). In embodiments, the vents are hydrophobic which prevent fluid from being ejected, so the priming system can run without intervention.

摘要: A core temperature measurement may be made by varying the heat transfer dynamics of a blood circuit and fitting parameters of a blood circuit heat transfer configuration to measurements under the varied conditions. Then the input temperature of the patient core can be extracted from the model and a current temperature measurement remote from the patient core and optionally other measurements such as blood flow rate.
