Abstract:
A method for generating uniform light with a tailored spectrum using one or more light sources, an integrating space, and one or more selected phosphors to build stable absolute irradiance calibration light sources for fiber and cosine correctors is disclosed.
Abstract:
A web-based services on a spectrometer system that enables a web-based server to provide multiple standard protocols including, but not limited to, Hyper Text Transfer Markup (HTTP) and Secure (HTTPS) as well as File Transfer Protocol (FTP) thus allowing native administrative and management applications to run on the spectrometer system and, by the use of standard interfaces, to connect to and send and retrieve information directly between the spectrometer and client devices via a web-based server is disclosed.
Abstract:
A method for generating uniform light with a tailored spectrum using one or more light sources, an integrating space, and one or more selected phosphors to build stable absolute irradiance calibration light sources for fiber and cosine correctors is disclosed.
Abstract:
An environmentally stable Silver containing mirror or thin-film optical filter having very high reflection values over a large spectral and angular range, and a method for constructing the mirror, or thin-film optical filter, comprising using a substrate that has been exposed to an Argon rich ion stream to prepare the surface. A medium index material is then deposed on the surface with Argon ion bombardment. The Silver is then deposited until it is opaque. A second deposition of the medium index material is next done with the Argon ion bombardment. The coating is then followed with a standard ion assisted deposed optical film to maximize reflection at the desired wavelength and angle of incidence.
Abstract:
A device for improving the removal of stray light interference in a spectrometer using an aperture slit with a predefined grid pattern incorporated into it and a mounting assembly for proper alignment to the spectrometer's 2D detector to create periodic shadowing allowing the identification of the desired signal and removal of stray light is disclosed.
Abstract:
A food integrity probe design comprising two illumination fiber rings, allowing for two different simultaneous measurements wherein the inner illumination ring generates a surface reflectance signal on the central detection fibers and the outer illumination ring allows for an additional interactance measurement, probing deeper into the sample than the surface reflectance alone while partially eliminating specular reflection, which reduces the signal quality, through the addition of a ring-shaped diffusor onto the inner illumination ring is disclosed.
