    摘要: Provided is an organic light emitting diode which can easily control color coordinates and improve a device's life span characteristic by using an auxiliary dopant having a higher band gap energy than that of a host, and preferably, having an absolute value of the highest occupied molecular orbital energy level equal to or higher than that of the host, or an absolute value of the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energy level equal to or lower than that of the host.The organic light emitting diode includes a first electrode, an emission layer disposed on the first electrode and including a host, an emitting dopant and an auxiliary dopant, and a second electrode disposed on the emission layer. Here, the auxiliary dopant has a higher band gap energy than the host. A method of fabricating the organic light emitting diode is provided.

    摘要: An organic light emitting diode (OLED) lighting apparatus is disclosed. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes i) a substrate main body including a light emitting area and a sealing area surrounding the light emitting area, ii) an OLED disposed on the light emitting area of the substrate main body, iii) a sealant disposed on the sealing area of the substrate main body and iv) an encapsulation substrate encapsulating the OLED, wherein the encapsulation substrate comprises first and second surfaces opposing each other. The apparatus may further include a heat dissipating wire configured to dissipate heat generated by the OLED. The heat dissipating wire includes a heat absorption portion disposed on the first surface of the encapsulation substrate and contacting the sealant, a heat dissipating portion disposed on the second surface, and a coupling portion interconnecting the absorption portion and the heat dissipating portion.

One embodiment of the backlight unit includes an organic light emitting element in which the efficiency of light extraction is improved without decreasing productivity to achieve high brightness and a low consumption power. The backlight unit includes a substrate, an organic light emitting element formed on the substrate, and an encapsulating member attached to the substrate to enclose the organic light emitting element. The backlight unit further includes a scattering film on one of surfaces of the substrate, the organic light emitting element and the encapsulating member to prevent light emitting from the organic light emitting element from being totally reflected.
