    摘要： A process for the extraction, purification and enzymatic modification of β-conglycinin α′ subunit, wherein β-conglycinin is selectively extracted from ground, defatted soy, then precipitated by treatment with aqueous ethanol; the enriched fraction is then subjected to Metal Affinity Chromatography (MAC) in denaturant conditions to obtain the α′ subunit, which is treated with chymotrypsin, then subjected to a further MAC to recover the amino-terminal region of this polypeptide (MW 28,000 Da).

    摘要： The invention is directed to the use of Ginkgo complexed with phosphatidylserine for the manufacture of a medicament or a dietary supplement for the enhancement of cognitive function and mental fatigue, i.e. to improve the factors related therewith such as to improve the speed of memory and memory quality, to increase accuracy and attention in activities in normal, healthy subjects, to prevent deterioration of the speed and quality of memory in people with decreased cognitive functions and to counteract cognitive fatigue, having also an influence on the mood, particularly in healthy children, young adults, middle-aged and/or old people. It is further provided the use of the Ginkgo phosphatidylserine complex for the treatment and prevention of a disease related with a decrease of the cognitive function and mental fatigue such as Dementia, e.g. Alzheimer's Disease.

    摘要： Methods for treating and preventing mucositis, in particular mucositis following the administration of chemotherapy drugs or a combination of said drugs with radiotherapy, are disclosed herein. More specifically, disclosed herein is the administration of a therapeutically effective amount of at least one of an anthocyanoside, a proanthocyanidin, or an extract containing at least one of an anthocyanoside or a proanthocyanidin for the treatment or prevention of mucositis. The therapeutically effective amount of the anthocyanoside, proanthocyanidin or extract can be administered alone or in combination with a therapeutically effective amount of at least one of an anti-inflammatory agent, immunomodulating agent, analgesic, antimicrobial agent or antifungal agent. Also disclosed herein are pharmaceutical compositions for treating and preventing mucositis.

The extract is characterized by an alkylamides content lower than 0.1%, an echinacoside content ranging from 1 to 10% and containing from 1 to 15% of a polysaccharide characteristic of Echinacea angustifolia. The extract can be used for the treatment of pathological conditions in which it is desirable to strengthen the immune defenses.
