    摘要: A chair timer is disclosed adapted to aid a user seated in a chair equipped with such a chair timer in the reduction of serious health issues associated with prolonged sitting, and crowd management and/or seating management. In various embodiments associated systems and methods of the chair timer are included. In one embodiment, the chair timer includes a sensor to detect movement, a microcontroller to communicate with one or more sensors and other components of the chair timer, a power supply, a switch to control the time and other settings, an alert device by which the user is altered to the passage of a certain amount of time, and additional user-operable control settings and switches by which the device is controlled, and by which control may be accessed and controlled via a website, smart phone, PDA, or the like, through wired or wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, Zigbee, WiFi, or the like.

    摘要: We have invented extensions to the current Domain Name System which include top level domains that create more available domain names. Some of the newly introduced top level domains provide information on a web sites location of operation. This will enable search engines to categorize search results based on location. Also the domain name systems we introduce, provide a long term method of expanding the current domain name system. They also offer domain names which include words internet users are familiar with. Some of the new top level domains address growing internet related areas in which domain name usage will be pertinent. Areas such as communications and internet capable devices will benefit from the top level domains created specifically for them. Another area addressed by the new top level domains is countries with large internet usage. Countries like Japan United States and China can use multiple top level domains created specifically for them because of their large number of internet users and high tech businesses. The need for personal web sites is also increasing. Internet profiles are means for people to allow others to view information about them. A new extension for personal websites will allow more people to have a web address to post information about them. The domain name systems and top level domains we have invented will coexist with the current domain name system.

    摘要: Techniques for navigating a high temperature low visibility environment are supported. A system may employ appropriate sonar signals to determine and display the location or distance to remote structures that may be obscured in the high temperature low visibility environment. Firefighters, military personnel, and other individuals that must navigate through obscured, high temperature environments may interact with suitable devices, such as a handheld device, to access and display the approximate location or distance of the remote structures or pathways. These devices may facilitate effective navigation of high temperature low visibility environments, thereby minimizing the risk of traumatic or fatal bodily injuries posed by the dangerous conditions.

    摘要: A system for reducing noise emissions in underwater environments is presented. The system can be extended to applications in any two-fluid environments where one fluid (gas) is contained in an enclosed resonator volume connected to the outside environment at an open end of the resonator body. The resonators act as gas-containing (e.g., air) Helmholtz resonators constructed into solid panels that are submerged in the fluid medium (e.g., sea water) in the vicinity of a noise generating source. The oscillations of the trapped air volume in the resonators causes reduction of certain noise energy and a general reduction in the transmitted noise in the environment of the system.
