Abstract:
A coupled cavity traveling wave tube has periodic permanent magnet (PPM) RF cavity structures, each of which has a plurality of permanent magnets placed substantially equidistant from a central axis, and which are outside the extent of a plurality of electron beam tunnels arranged substantially equidistant from the central axis and within the extents of the plurality of permanent magnets. Each coupled cavity RF structure is formed by adjacent ferrous polepieces and a cylindrical wall which is beyond the extent of one or more coupling apertures which couple RF energy from one coupled cavity structure to an adjacent RF cavity.
Abstract:
In accordance with the teachings of the present disclosure, a method of generating a computer alarm is disclosed. The method includes determining a new instance of a characteristic of an element of a computing network to be monitored, identifying a relationship of the element to other elements of the computing network, and automatically creating an alarm threshold for the new instance of the characteristic based upon the relationship of the element to the other elements of the computing network.

Abstract:
A process for forming a coating for an RF window which has improved secondary electron emission and reduced multipactor for high power RF waveguides is formed from a substrate with low loss tangent and desirable mechanical characteristics. The substrate has an RPAO deposition layer applied which oxygenates the surface of the substrate to remove carbon impurities, thereafter has an RPAN deposition layer applied to nitrogen activate the surface of the substrate, after which a TiN deposition layer is applied using Titanium tert-butoxide. The TiN deposition layer is capped with a final RPAN deposition layer of nitridation to reduce the bound oxygen in the TiN deposition layer. The resulting RF window has greatly improved titanium layer adhesion, reduced multipactor, and is able to withstand greater RF power levels than provided by the prior art.
Abstract:
Methods and systems are provided for selectively storing event data. In one described method, an event associated with an article is captured. The captured event can comprise event data. The method further comprises evaluating the event for satisfaction of a criterion. If the event satisfies the criterion, it is indexed.
Abstract:
Described herein are inhibitors of Aurora kinase and their use in the treatment of cancer. Methods of screening for selective inhibitors of Aurora kinases are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A periodic permanent magnet (PPM) klystron has beam transport structures and RF cavity structures, each of which has permanent magnets placed substantially equidistant from a beam tunnel formed about the central axis, and which are also outside the extent of a cooling chamber. The RF cavity sections also have permanent magnets which are placed substantially equidistant from the beam tunnel, but which include an RF cavity coupling to the beam tunnel for enhancement of RF carried by an electron beam in the beam tunnel.
Abstract:
Systems and methods that improve client-side searching are described. In one aspect, a system and method for identifying an article, and determining a ranking score for the article based at least in part on duration data, access data, URL data, or trajectory data associated with the article is described.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus to verify consumption of content are described herein. In an example method, a content library is generated within a data structure. The content library includes at least one content identifier associated with programming content. The programming content is insertable into content stream. A content stream including content for broadcasting on a broadcast device is received. To verify consumption of the programming content, a broadcast content identifier associated with the content for broadcasting is compared to the at least one content identifier of the content library.
