The edge of the cutout may include bench grooves, such as a bench finger joint, and the modular insert panel may include insert grooves, such as an insert panel finger joint, on an outer edge thereof, wherein the insert grooves are designed to removably engage with the bench grooves. The modular insert panel may include a tool premounted thereto.
Abstract:
A tire has a circumferential tread, the tread including shoulder tread regions configured for off-road performance separated by and interlocking with a center tread region configured for on-road performance. The shoulder tread regions are defined by a repeating pattern of two or more distinct shoulder tread elements and the center tread region is defined by a repeating pattern of two or more distinct center tread elements. The shoulder tread elements each have a ground contacting surface area greater than a ground contacting surface area of the center tread elements. The center tread elements extend at a relatively greater angle of inclination with respect to an equatorial centerplane of the tire and the shoulder tread elements extend at a relatively lesser angle of inclination with respect to the centerplane. The center tread elements and the shoulder tread elements are irregular and asymmetrical about a longitudinal central axis and a transverse central axis and, together, total five or more (three in the center tread region and two in the shoulder tread region) tread blocks of mutually distinctive geometric shape.
Abstract:
A service accessible by a set of entities may be provided to each entity at a different service level (e.g., with a different set of privileges) based on the privilege level of the entity. However, many users may attempt to perform malicious activities through the service, and may do so with impunity if the penalties of detection are inconsequential. Instead, privilege levels of entities may be established based on the claims of assets having identifiable value. Such claims may be established by submitting an asset identifier to the service, such as proof of a software license identified by the submission of a license key purchased at a substantial cost. The penalties of malicious activities performed by such users may include the invalidation of such asset identifiers. Establishing the privilege levels of respective entities in this manner raises the penalties, and hence the deterrence, of attempted malicious use of the service.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a trialkoxysilane having structure I wherein R1 is independently at each occurrence a C1-C3 alkyl group; R3 is independently at each occurrence a hydrogen or a C1-C3 alkyl group; R4 is a C1-C5 aliphatic radical, a C7-C12 aromatic radical, or a C5-C10 cycloaliphatic group; n is 0, 1, 2 or 3; q is 1, 2 or 3; t is 0, 1 or 2; and X− represents a charge balancing counterion. The trialkoxysilanes are useful for the preparation of nanoparticulate diagnostic imaging agent compositions.
Abstract:
A system and methods are provided for investors to review, reconcile and rate requested events and any research provided over a time period by brokerage houses. A dashboard may be provided that permits tracking of current activity for assistance in determining that commission allocations are in line with the amount of research being provided. At the end of a time period, a broker vote may be facilitated for collecting investor votes and producing reports and scorecards which may be shared with brokers, or may create a research valuation scheme to quantitatively determine which brokers are providing more value.
Abstract:
A method of making a nanocomposite permanent magnet is provided. The method comprises applying an extreme shear deformation to hard magnetic phase nanoparticles and soft magnetic phase nanoparticles to align at least a portion of the hard phase magnetic particles and to produce a nanocomposite permanent magnet.
Abstract:
The invention relates generally to optical data storage media, and more specifically, to holographic storage media. In one embodiment, an optical storage medium composition includes a polymer matrix. Disposed within the polymer matrix is a reactant capable of undergoing a modification that alters the refractive index of the composition upon receiving an energy transfer from an excited sensitizer. A non-linear sensitizer is also disposed within the polymer matrix, and the sensitizer includes a metal-substituted subphthalocyanine (M-sub-PC) reverse saturable absorber configured to become excited upon exposure to light beyond an intensity threshold at approximately 405 nm and configured to transfer energy to the reactant.
Abstract:
A process for preparing polyimide resins comprises stirring a diamine and a dianhydride in a solvent to form a slurry; heating the slurry to a temperature sufficient for the diamine and dianhydride to react wherein the temperature is below the melting point of the dianhydride, below the melting point of the diamine, or below the melting points of the dianhydride and diamine; and reacting the diamine and dianhydride to form a polyimide having sufficient molecular weight to precipitate from the solvent.
Abstract:
A marking apparatus for applying a message to an article, the apparatus comprising: a processor arranged to generate a message for application to an article and to control the operation of the marking apparatus by, at least in part, executing an operational behaviour script formed using a scripting language; and a printing arrangement for applying a generated message to an article.
Abstract:
According to various embodiments, a catalyst composition includes a catalytic metal secured to a porous substrate. The substrate has pores that are templated. The substrate is a product of adding a substrate precursor to a water-in-oil microemulsion including a catalytic metal salt, a solvent, a templating agent, and water.
