摘要: A sensor for attachment to an inflatable air cell cushion designed to detect optimal immersion of the cushion user into the in the inflatable cushion. The immersion depth of a user positioned on the cushion is determined by sensing air pressure in the cushion. The sensor accurately reads changes in pressure as air exits the cushion to allow an algorithm to determine optimal internal cushion pressure for a user.

摘要: A release valve for connection to an inflatable cushion comprising an air conduit, a fitting at a first end of the air conduit for insertion into an air tube in fluid communication with the interior of the cushion, and an air inlet port at the opposite end of the air conduit and a filter assembly at the air inlet port. There is first, vertically orientated, spring biased ball valve centrally positioned in the air conduit including at least one air egress vent and being operatively associated with a spring biased actuator in the ball valve housing for opening the first ball valve. The button and first ball valve define a gap to minimize accidental air release. A second longitudinally orientated, spring biased ball valve is positioned in the air conduit adjacent the air inlet port.

摘要: An improved vehicle seat assembly for mounting on the frame of a vehicle driver's seat including a polymer support plate attached to the frame, a polyurethane foam base on the support, an inflatable air cell cushion on the base and an elastic cover. The inflatable air cell cushion includes individual inflation zones each comprised of individual interconnected inflation cells. The zones are normally isolated from each other. A center zone having a preset inflation pressure is positioned under the ischial area of the driver. Front, back and side bolster zones provide front-to-back and side-to-side support. The individual air cells of the center zone are interconnected by a serpentine airflow path of reduced area to enhance the vibration and shock absorption characteristics of the zone.

摘要: The present disclosure generally relates to a manifold valve assembly engaged to an inflatable apparatus, such as a cushion to prevent pressure ulcers, for example. The manifold valve assembly is also in communication with a processing device to determine an optimal immersion level for a user seated on the inflatable apparatus. Additionally the processing device, in communication with the manifold valve assembly may save optimal immersion or air pressure levels for comparison to future checks of cushion pressure and send that to a user interface at the processing device. The assembly and processing device may also save and display a history of pressure checks.
