Abstract:
A computer implemented method of calculating a cost impact. The method includes associating cost amounts with various rules, using the rules to identify bad data, and calculating an aggregate cost of the bad data. In this manner, the Data Steward can prioritize various data quality improvement projects.
Abstract:
A system for visualizing concepts within a collection of information analyzes a set of materials from at least one collection of information and defines an attribute space associated with the set of materials. The system then determines automatically similarity of members of the attribute space. The system then generates a graphical model of the members of the attribute space, where the generating includes generating a display of the members of the attribute space, each of the members having a respective display distance from other respective members of the attribute space reflective of the determined similarity.
Abstract:
A digitized analog television signal processing system is disclosed, comprising an analog-to-digital converter, a demodulation unit, a decoding unit, and a control unit. The analog-to-digital converter samples a television signal comprising a video signal. The demodulation unit demodulates the video signal. The decoding unit decodes the demodulated video signal. The control unit adjusts the demodulation unit according to a signal quality indicator generated during and/or after the decoding of the decoding unit.
Abstract:
A television receiving system is disclosed, comprising an input terminal, a down-converter, an amplifier, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), a demodulator, and an isolation circuit. The input terminal receives an RF signal. The down*converter, coupled to the input terminal, converts the RF signal to an intermediate frequency (IF) signal. The amplifier, coupled to the down-converter, amplifies the IF signal. The analog-to-digital converter, coupled to the amplifier, converts the amplified IF signal to digital data. The demodulator, coupled to the ADC, processes the digital data to generate baseband data. The isolation circuit, coupled between the amplifier and ADC, isolates the amplified IF signal from being affected by interference induced by the ADC.
Abstract:
A method for performing channel scan within a multi-channel broadcasting program receiver includes: calculating a plurality of frequency representatives of intermediate frequency (IF) signals of one or more received multi-channel broadcasting program signals within a specific band of a plurality of bands; and locating a video IF signal out of the IF signals according to the frequency representatives in order to determine a frequency of a video carrier corresponding to the specific band, wherein the frequency of the video carrier is utilized as a reference for tuning to an associated channel. An associated multi-channel broadcasting program receiver includes a tuner, a processing module, a memory and a controller. The tuner is arranged to select one of a plurality of channels. In particular, the controller controls channel scan and further utilizes the frequency of the video carrier corresponding to the specific band as the reference for tuning to the associated channel.

Abstract:
A heating piping device for heating a fluid provided from the gas reservoir unit and introducing the heated fluid into a piping system includes at least one heating unit and a control module. The heating unit includes a mounting cylinder defining a heating space therein, a spiral channel in fluid communication with the gas reservoir unit, a heater member for heating the fluid in the spiral channel into the heated fluid, a flow control valve and a check valve. The control module controls the amount of the fluid flowing into the spiral channel, and the temperature of the heater member. The temperature of the heater member and the amount of the fluid can be adjusted to meet different manufacturing requirements. Unnecessary energy and flow consumption is avoided.
