摘要: An L.E.D. lamp assembly providing a range of articulation between a lamp housing and a lamp is disclosed herein. The lighting system includes a lamp having an LED array, and a bell-shaped lamp housing having a threaded electrical connector attachable to a light socket, and an articulation mechanism. The articulation mechanism includes a pair of pivot arms attached to the lamp which ride within a channel attached to the lamp housing. By operation of the articulation mechanism, the L.E.D. lamp rotates on two axes; one parallel to the adapter's socket and one diametric to the circular edge of the adapter. The lighting system allows the L.E.D. lamp to be directed at various angles of a user's choice across a wall or ceiling when retrofitted into a light fixture.

摘要: A mobile device in, or at, a vehicle sends a vehicle status message to a remote host upon occurrence of a trigger event, such as turning off the vehicle's engine. The remote host processes the vehicle status message and determines whether it can access, or find, content that is associated with location information contained in the vehicle status message. If so, the remote host forwards the content in a content message to a user device, which may or may not be the device that transmitted the vehicle status message. The remote host typically associates the user device with the vehicle, or mobile device therein, from which the vehicle status message emanated. Thus, the user device receives content corresponding to the location of the vehicle when the trigger event occurred. The content may include advertising, product promotion, tourist information, weather, traffic, or other information relevant to the trigger event occurrence location.

摘要: Systems and techniques for mediating user communications. A user persona manager maintains one or more user profiles and manages user interactions with other parties and with service providers based on user preferences associated with the user profile or profiles selected for a particular interaction. The persona manager receives a single set of user authentication information to establish the user identity, and provides previously stored information to other parties and service providers as appropriate, and otherwise conducts user interactions involving communications initiated by or on behalf of the user. The persona manager also examines interactions initiated by others, selects user profiles appropriate to the interactions, and routes and responds to the interactions based on information stored in the user profiles.

摘要: A device for displaying and exchanging a plurality of documents of various shapes and sizes and for organizing the same. The device of the present invention comprises at least two layers of pliable sheet material. If multiple sheets are used, the sheets may be nested together. The sheets may then be inserted into a binder mechanism where the binder mechanism compressibly engages the layers to create a pressure region adjacent thereto. The frictional force between the sheet material and the inserted document retains a document inserted into the pressure region formed between two adjacent layers.

摘要: Systems and methods for implementing an acknowledgement mechanism for transmission of a real-time data stream from a sending system to a receiving system are disclosed. An exemplary method implemented in a sending system involves establishing a connection with a receiving system for transmitting a real-time data stream to the receiving system. The method also involves transmitting a current segment of the real-time data stream to the receiving system. If an acknowledgement of the current segment is not received from the receiving system during a predetermined time period, the method also involves discontinuing any retransmission attempts for the current segment and transmitting a next segment to the receiving system.

摘要: A business method provides access to digital medical image data generated by up to a plurality of imaging facilities to a payer. The business method includes receiving digital medical image data generated by the imaging facilities using a gateway at each imaging facility. The received-digital medical image data is transmitted from the gateway to a central server via a network and stored at the central server. The payer is then provided access to the stored digital medical image data via the network for a fee.

摘要: An awning assembly including an awning, a pair of main support arms, and a pair of rafter arms is collapsible from an extended position to a stored position. In the stored position the awning assembly is enclosed in a box which is mounted to a wall. In the extended position the rafter arms extend from the box and the main support arms extend from the wall to support the awning. The box can be formed in four lightweight interlocking extrusions. A bracket braces the interlocking extrusions, supports the awning in the stored position, and elevates the rafter arms within the box. A foot is pivotal on each of the main support arms to permit attachment of the main support arm to the wall or ground.

摘要: A method includes receiving historical monitoring data for components of a system, the historical monitoring data comprising a plurality of events, each triggered by an associated component, and a plurality of alarms, each triggered by detection of a particular type of condition in the components. The method also includes determining common event sequences in the plurality of events, each event sequence culminating in one of the plurality of alarms. The method further includes correlating the common event sequences into an event pattern. The method also includes receiving a plurality of real-time events triggered by the components. The method additionally includes detecting the event pattern in the plurality of real-time events to predict a potential future instance of the particular type of condition in the components of the system.
