Abstract: An embossed component for positioning an article having a through hole includes a planar portion and an embossed portion projecting from a surface of the planar portion. The embossed portion is tapered toward a tip side and to be fitted into the through hole. The embossed portion includes a straight base end portion continuous with the planar portion and extending vertically with respect to the planar portion toward the tip side of the embossed portion, and an opening is at a tip of the embossed portion.

Abstract: A liquid discharge head includes a nozzle plate having a discharge port, and a valve facing the nozzle plate to open and close the discharge port. The valve includes a core having a recess, and an elastic member attached to the core. The recess has: an opening rim on a leading end of the core, the opening rim defining an opening of the recess opening toward the discharge port; a bottom face opposite to the opening rim; and a retaining portion having a width wider than a width of a portion other than the retaining portion of the recess in a width direction. the retaining portion disposed in a rear region between the bottom face and a center of the recess. The elastic member includes a first portion fitted into the recess and a second portion projecting from the opening of the recess toward the discharge port.

Abstract: A liquid discharge head includes a nozzle plate, a housing, a channel, and a positioning member. The nozzle plate has a nozzle hole and a first positioning hole penetrating through the nozzle plate in a thickness direction of the nozzle plate. The housing is bonded to the nozzle plate to form a single bonded body and has a second positioning hole extending in a thickness direction of the housing. A liquid flows through the channel between the nozzle plate and the housing to the nozzle hole. The positioning member fits into the first positioning hole and the second positioning hole to position the nozzle plate relative to the housing. A length of the positioning member is smaller than a sum of a length of the first positioning hole and a length of the second positioning hole in the thickness direction of the nozzle plate, and larger than the length of the second positioning hole.
