    摘要: A rinse aid composition containing: (a) a hydroxy mixed ether corresponding to formula I: R1O[CH2CHR2O]x[CH2CHR3O]yCH2CH(OH)R4  (I) wherein R1 is an alkyl and/or alkenyl group containing from about 4 to 22 carbon atoms, R2 is hydrogen or a methyl or an ethyl group, R3 is hydrogen or a methyl or an ethyl group, R4 is an alkyl group containing from about 2 to 22 carbon atoms, x is a number up to 30, y is a number up to 30, and x+y is greater than or equal to 1; (b) an alkyl and/or alkenyl oligoglycoside corresponding to formula II: R5O—[G]p  (II) wherein R5 is an alkyl and/or alkenyl group containing from about 4 to 22 carbon atoms, G is a sugar unit containing 5 or 6 carbon atoms, and p is a number from 1 to 10; and (c) a nonionic co-surfactant, and wherein (a) and (b) are present in the composition in a ratio by weight of from about 10:0.1 to 1:10.

    摘要: Finely divided solids suspensions can be dewatered by adding to the solids suspension a mixed hydroxy ether of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is a linear hydroxy alkyl group containing from 2 to 16 carbon atoms with the hydroxyl group on the carbon atom adjacent to the carbon atom with the ether linkage and R.sup.2 is a linear alkyl group with 1 to 15 carbon atoms with the proviso that the sum of the total carbon atoms in R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is 5 to 17, R.sup.3 is a linear or branched alkyl group with 1 to 12 carbon atoms and n is a number of from 1 to 20. The mixed hydroxy ethers are readily biodegradable, generate very little foam and have a low solidification point.

    摘要: A collecting agent and method for the recovery of valuable minerals in the froth flotation beneficiation of non-sulfidic ores is provided. The collecting agent is selected from alkyl glycosides, alkenyl glycosides and mixtures thereof. Preferably, the collecting agent is a combination of an alkyl glycoside, an alkenyl glycoside and mixtures thereof with a non-thio ionizable surfactant collector. Glycosides containing from about 2 to 8 glycoside residues may be used. The alkyl and alkenyl components of these glycosides may be linear or branched, may contain from about 2 to 18 carbon atoms and may optionally contain a hydroxyl group or an ether linkage.
