摘要: A thermoplastic bag suitable for use as a liner for a garbage canister or trash receptacle may be made from a multi-layered thermoplastic web material. The multi-layer web material may include a first layer and a second layer adjacent to the first layer. Under typical conditions, the layers may tend to block or adhere together to remain in their adjacent position. However, the layers may delaminate and separate from each other when sufficient forces are applied. Delamination of the layers allows the layers to move with respect to each other when the force is applied. The delaminating of the layers absorbs energy which may increase tear and puncture resistance.

摘要: In various embodiments, the present disclosure provides a method, device, and system for generating energy from fluid motion, such as from sea waves. In a specific example, the disclosure provides a device having a submersible housing having an inlet and an outlet. When submerged, the inlet faces toward the direction of fluid propagation such that the fluid is incident on the inlet. The outlet includes a one-way check valve to pass water flowing through the housing from the inlet. The housing further includes a turbine positioned between the inlet and outlet such that water may flow from the inlet, past the turbine, and through the outlet. The turbine is coupled to an electrical generator. In some examples, the fluid has a wavelength λ and the region of the housing between the inlet and outlet has an axial length of λ/2. In further embodiments, the device includes a plurality of inlets and outlets located at different axial positions on the housing. The inlets and outlets are arranged in sets; each set having an axial length corresponding to half the wavelength of a fluid wave.
