    摘要: An institutional mattress includes a resilient core and a mattress covering sealing the core. The mattress covering has a ticking with a base fabric made of yarns with a denier value of at least 500 and has a thread count of at least 18 threads per inch in both warp and fill. The ticking is bonded to a fluid proof material having an anti-microbial agent. The core may be fire resistant polymeric foam and the ticking base fabric may be 1050 denier “ballistic” nylon. The ticking base fabric may be coated with urethane having at least one of a flame retardant and an anti-microbial, and then laminated with a polyurethane film. Alternatively, the ticking base fabric may be treated with a flame retardant covered with a fluid proof material. The mattress covering may be sealed around the core with stitching.

    摘要: An ESD protection system which shields PCAs during the assembly process comprises transportable support means for holding an ESD bag in a predetermined position which is convenient both for the insertion and extraction of a PCA(s) and for observing stored PCA(s), thus ensuring proper handling. The system has first and second attachment means for attaching the ESD bag to the frame and for holding papers associated with the PCA(s) outside the ESD bag and for providing the weight necessary for maintaining a sealing fold in the bag whenever the PCA(s) are enclosed therein. The transportable support means is a frame which is constructed to mate with a rack designed for accommodating a plurality of frames. When so mated, the rack provides the desired level of stability and orderly positioning of a desired number of frames spaced apart such that the ESD bags attached to the frames may be easily observed for correct loading, closure and paperwork processing. When not mated with the rack, the frame and all attachments may be transported with essentially the same convenience as transporting an ESD bag containing a PCA.

The undetected failure of the test probes to contact the test points on the electronic assembly test, such as a printed circuit board can result in meaningless test results or lead to unnecessary further testing or replacement of nonfaulty components that tested as failed. The apparatus and method are directed to detecting which test probes are not in contact with their corresponding test points on the electronic assembly undergoing test by ATE.

    摘要: There is disclosed a new and improved envelope processing machine. The machine includes an envelope hopper for storing a quantity of envelopes to be processed, an envelope processing station, spaced from the hopper, a table top surface adjacent the processing station providing a work surface for an operator, and incrementing conveyor means extending beside the table top surface and from the hopper past the processing station. The conveyor means is arranged for incrementally conveying the envelopes a predetermined distance in immediate succession from the hopper to the processing station through at least one intermediate stop position between the hopper and the processing station. As a result, sufficient spacing between the hopper and the processing station is provided to permit the table top surface to be dimensioned for providing a sufficient work surface area for an operator while still maintaining an efficient processing rate.

    摘要: There is disclosed an envelope processing machine in the form of an improved envelope cutter apparatus adapted to sever one edge of envelopes in one by one relationship. The apparatus includes a supply hopper for retaining the envelopes to be processed, cutting means for severing one edge of the envelopes, means for removing envelopes in one by one relationship from the supply hopper and for transmitting the removed envelopes to the cutting means, and means for orienting the envelopes in respect to the cutting means. The orienting means includes a plurality of angularly disposed feed belts operable upon the envelope and an abutment member against which an envelope is engaged in its movement to the cutting means. In a preferred form of the invention, the orienting means includes first belt means for causing the envelopes to engage the abutment member in advance of the cutting means and second belt means for retaining the envelopes against the abutment member and as the envelopes are severed by the cutting means.

    摘要: There is disclosed a new and improved envelope processing machine. The machine includes a supply hopper for retaining a quantity of envelopes to be processed, cutting means for severing an edge of an envelope, an envelope processing station, envelope feed means, and envelope transmitting means. The envelope feed means removes the envelopes from the hopper and places them onto the transmitting means one at a time in succession. The transmitting means conveys the envelopes to the cutting station whereat an edge of each envelope is severed. The transmitting means then conveys the envelopes one at a time to the envelope processing station which includes envelope opening means having a pair of reciprocating tacky adhesive pads arranged to grip and separate opposite panels of the envelopes to facilitate the removal of contents therefrom.

    摘要: A method and apparatus allows adapting a standard flying prober system to probe test point targets on Printed Circuit Assemblies (PCAs) having irregularities in their planarity. The method and apparatus involves positioning a camera utilized by the prober system to predetermined offset positions relative to previously established test and/or other points for sets of images. Each set of images is processed by determining offsets in coordinates needed to align the images in a predetermined manner. The offsets for each measured point are translated into actual height values to be used during subsequent testing of a PCA.
