摘要： A fishing reel, such as a spincast reel or a spinning reel, has a clutch assembly mounted on a shaft adjacent to the rotating component, the clutch assembly for frictional engagement with a rotating component. The clutch assembly has a first and a second protuberance. A bite alert contact is located for engagement with the first protuberance. A calibration member is adjacent the clutch assembly for engagement with the second protuberance. The calibration member provides a selectable amount of resistance to rotation of the clutch assembly, thereby regulating an amount of rotational force required to activate the bite alert contact. The fishing reel may further include a sensitivity switch for adjusting the selectable amount of resistance provided by the calibration member, which may adjust the resistance in discrete amounts.

An on/off switch is provided for selectively closing the circuit. A “try me” switch is also provided for temporarily activating the electronics. The “try me” switch prevents manipulation of the on/off switch into the “on” position but allows for the electronic feature to be temporarily activated. After purchase, the “try me” switch may be is removed to allow the on/off switch to function without interference.

摘要： Pulverizing apparatus comprising a generally cylindrical vessel (11), feed means (16) for feeding the material to be pulverized into said vessel, a plurality of circumferentially spaced fluid injection nozzles (24) each angled between a radius of the cylindrical vessel passing through the nozzles and a direction perpendicular to said radius, to inject fluid into the vessel and induce an axially flowing vortex (25) in the vessel having its axis generally centrally of the vessel, transverse wall means (12) at a location remote from the nozzles to intercept the vortex and to deflect a portion (26) of the fluid medium and entrained particles of material to effect a recirculation of the fluid medium within the vessel and thus to form a curtain surrounding the vortex. The material is pulverized by interparticle collisions and the curtain reduces high speed particle contact with the cylindrical wall of the vessel. An outlet (14) in said transverse wall allows a fraction of the pulverized material below a predetermined mass to pass generally along the axis of the vortex. The means (16) for feeding the material to be pulverized are arranged to feed the material to a point adjacent the axial center of the vessel in the vicinity of said nozzles.

摘要： In a centrifugal fan or the like including an impeller housed in a casing, recirculation means are provided to recycle a portion of the gas discharge back to the blades of the impeller. Specifically these means comprise a radial passage between an impeller shroud and a wall of the casing, and aperture means in the shroud. 15% to approximately 30% of the gas discharge may be recycled. This arrangement has the advantage of increasing the fan pressure at low discharge rates in comparison with previous fans with no gas recirculation, and this is advantageous in some fan installations where operation is at reduced rates for considerable periods.
