摘要： A commercial floor mat has a plurality of aluminum rails arranged in closely spaced side-by-side relationship and connected together by hinged connectors beneath the rails. Each rail has a pair of downwardly facing grooves on its underside extending along respective edges of the rail. Each connector has a flexible central web and a pair of spaced upstanding tabs disposed in the downwardly facing grooves of adjacent rails. The tabs have flexible barb-shaped ribs extending along their opposed faces to anchor the tabs in the grooves with a friction fit. The flexible central webs of the connectors facilitate hinged movement of connected rails to permit the mat to be rolled onto itself into a compact configuration.

A plastic member is mounted to the frame and the plastic member defines a flashing strip, a nailing fin, and a tear-away construction cover that protects a portion of the frame, such as the brick mold, from damage during construction. After construction, the construction cover is torn away to reveal the protected clean and undamaged brick mold.

摘要： A continuous sidelight threshold and door sill assembly for use with entryways having at least one fixed sidelight panel and a hinged door panel comprises an extruded aluminum frame having an elongated channel and a sloped sill. A vertically adjustable threshold cap is shorter than the channel is configured to fit in and be selectively positioned at a predetermined location along the channel. A separate panel cap is also configured to fit in the channel and be selectively positioned therealong. The assembly is universally adaptable to be used either with left handed, right handed, or double sided sidelight door entryways simply by positioning the threshold cap and the panel cap at respective appropriate locations along the channel. A removable paint shield is provided to protect the threshold and sill assembly from paint and damage during construction of a building in which the assembly is installed. Also, the threshold and sidelight caps preferably are formed from extruded plastic material and can be easily cut and fitted to virtually any entryway configuration.

摘要： A door jamb assembly for an entryway has a wooden jamb plate to which an extruded plastic brick mold and stop member is attached. The brick mold and stop member forms the raised stop of the jamb assembly also may form the brick mold thereof. The extruded plastic brick mold and stop member has a core made of economical cellular PVC plastic at least partially encased in a stabilizing layer of a plastic material, such as SAN, having a heat distortion temperature greater than that of the PVC plastic of the core. The stabilizing layer holds the core material in place and restrains it against distortion and shrinkage due to extreme temperatures, such as those found between a storm door and a door exposed to direct sunlight.

摘要： A sill pan system is provided for installation along the bottom plate of a framed-in window or door opening to prevent water leakage. The system includes end pieces that are fitted in the bottom corners of the opening and a central web that spans, partially overlaps, and is adhered to the end pieces. The central web is formed of a transparent or translucent plastic to allow visual confirmation that a good seal is formed between the overlapping portions of the web and end pieces. The web is formed with inside flanges and flashing strips that are connected with flexible hinges so that web material can be rolled into a roll. The components may be formed with an abrasion resistant upper surface cladding and the central web may be formed with longitudinally extending drain channels for directing water to the ends of the pan for drainage.
