摘要: A method of forming a composite sheet material, the method comprises energising a pair of electrodes to apply an electrostatic charge to a bed of fibres located therebetween thereby orienting at least some of the fibres to be substantially orthogonal to the electrodes and sandwiching at least some of the oriented fibres between a first sheet and a second sheet. The first sheet may be subsequently removed. A third sheet may be used to sandwich the fibres between the second sheet and the third sheet. Apparatus (100) is disclosed for carrying out the method.

摘要: A method of drying sticks, a related apparatus, resultant product and its uses where the method involves presenting a plurality of sticks in parallel as a single layer, pressing each stick with a bank of pressing members on and/or into at least one face of the sticks, each with plurality of protuberances, thereby to constrain the sticks against crook, and drying the sticks when so constrained. Preferably each bank of pressing members is an underside of a frame or lattice of a stack of such frames or lattices able to receive such a single layer of sticks between adjacent overlying/underlying frames or lattices, the protuberances preferably being only downwardly directed.

Two or more different types of woods are mixed in a controlled manner, arranged in a pattern and glued together to form hybrid wood board and a fiber/polymer composite layer is bonded to the underside of the hybrid wood board to form the composite reinforced hybrid wood floor boards provided herein. The composite reinforced hybrid wood floor provides weight reduction and/or cost savings as compared with a conventional composite wood floor made of a single type of wood, such as oak or hard maple.

The first end of the mat includes a male member and the second end of the mat includes a female member so that a first end of one mat can be releasably interlocked with a second end of a similarly configured and adjacently positioned additional mat.

摘要: A sealing sheet having a resin layer comprising a resin part (A) formed by a resin composition containing one or more resins selected from the group consisting of an acrylic-based resin and a urethane-based resin, and a resin part (B) having a water vapor transmission rate measured in conformity with JIS K 7129 of 15 g/m2/day or less, in which the resin part (A) and the resin part (B) are present on at least one surface of the resin layer. The sealing sheet excels in a suppressing effect on moisture intrusion of the sealing sheet itself, and, when manufacturing a sealing structure, excels in an effect to prevent moisture intrusion into the sealing structure from between a substrate (adherend) and the sealing sheet.

摘要: A plastic tube has an inner tube, a stiffener layer, and an outer tube. The inner tube is arranged the support organ. A corrugated stiffener preform is formed with corner area walls shaped thinner than the other walls. The preform is fed upon the inner tube to form a stiffener layer that advances with a certain pitch upon the inner tube. The corner parts of every stiffener yield and the brush angle (β) between the lamellas of the outside gets greater than the corresponding brush angle between the lamellas of the inner side. The stiffener is joined to the inner tube with a melted plastic layer and fed upon the stiffener plastic tape joined to the stiffener with a melted plastic layer. Between the settled edges of the plastic tape a spiral weld joint is formed so that the plastic tape forms the outer tube.

摘要: The disclosure describes in some examples a technique that includes aligning a plurality of carbon preform segments in a staggered arrangement, where each carbon preform segment of the plurality carbon preform segment includes a carbon body including at least one of a plurality of carbon fibers or a carbon foam, and a silicon-based mixture including silicon particles. The techniques may include heating the staggered arrangement to react the silicon particles with the carbon body to bond the plurality of carbon preform segments together and form a ceramic matrix composite component.
