    Abstract: A door entryway system is disclosed. The door entryway system may have a door sweep capable of attachment to a bottom of a door panel and a threshold assembly. The threshold assembly may include a threshold substrate, an upwardly open sill channel on the substrate and a substantially rigid threshold cap biased upwardly, and vertically adjustable by rotating during interaction with the door sweep. The threshold cap and door sweep contact to form a sealing barrier when the door panel is in a closed position. The threshold assembly may also include a cap base formed separate from the threshold cap, the cap base at least partially positioned within the sill channel, the cap base supporting the threshold cap.

    Abstract: A door system includes a door panel and a door panel frame. The door panel frame includes a peripheral web, an outer flange extending outwardly from the web, a seal flange extending inwardly from the web, and a guard flange extending inwardly from the web. The seal flange is outboard of the guard flange. Lower portions of the seal flange may include perforations there through to allow water that may accumulate between the seal flange and the guard flange to exit the frame outwardly.

    Abstract: An apparatus for opening and closing a portal in a structure in which a curtain having elongated side portions is placed adjacent opposing sides of the portal. A first end of the curtain is attached to a first end of the portal. An opposite end of the curtain is upturned and attached to a varying means at the first end of the portal to vary the height of a pocket formed in the curtain. Magnetic sealing means are placed on the elongated side portions of the curtain and on the opposing sides of the portal. The portal is closed as the varying means lowers the height of the pocket, wherein the magnetic sealing means on the curtain engage the magnetic sealing means on the opposing sides of the portal, thereby sealing the portal. The portal is opened as the varying means raises the height of the pocket, wherein the magnetic sealing means on the curtain disengage the magnetic sealing means on the opposing sides of the portal, thereby unsealing the portal.

    Abstract: The present invention pertains to a polymeric sealing/spring strip and method of producing same. The polymeric sealing/spring strip of the present invention has several various embodiments which are based upon the incorporation of silicone rubber. Some of the embodiments are based on the formation of a resilient silicone rubber surface to provide a sealing/spring contact with an opposing surface period. Other embodiments of the invention incorporate the silicone rubber in such way as to utilize its resilient properties to produce a sealing/spring strip which has improved mechanical resilience properties. The method of the present invention allows the production of a sealing/spring strip in accordance with the present invention by using extrusion techniques.
