摘要： A method for diagnosing a device malfunction includes receiving a request for repair from an electromechanical device, wherein the request includes identification of the malfunctioning device, data related to the configuration and state of the device, information on the level of access to the device, and a description of the device malfunction. A repair analysis procedure may be automatically selected based on the information received, and at least one automated test may be executed. The repair analysis procedure may be represented by a diagnostics tree having a plurality of nodes, where each node may include different numbers of tests. The tests may include the download of software to the device. Results from the test or tests may be used to move through the diagnostics tree and modify or update the repair analysis procedure. An instruction to resolve the malfunction may then be deployed to the device.

The assembly further includes a pair of self-tapping screws each having a conical flat head sized to seat in a respective rail seat. In assembled relation each conical head of each screw nests in a conical rail seat, each rail seat nests in a pedestal seat, and a threaded shank of each screw self-tappingly engages the smooth cylindrical bore of the respective pedestal.

摘要： A method and apparatus for installing a motor vehicle door module assembly in a motor vehicle door structure, the assembly including a module plate, a bracket, and a door handle pivotally mounted on the bracket. Coacting mounting structures are provided on the module plate and on the bracket which are operative in response to linear sliding movement of the bracket relative to the module plate to mount the bracket on the module plate while permitting a limited degree of linear play. The bracket is mounted on the module plate utilizing the coacting mounting structures and the module assembly is positioned in the motor vehicle door structure whereafter the bracket and handle are adjusted relative to the module plate, utilizing the linear play, to facilitate the installation of the module assembly on the door structure. The coacting mounting structure is comprised of a plurality of tabs on the module plate and a respective plurality of keyways in the bracket. The tabs have a “T” cross-sectional configuration including a relatively narrow stem portion outstanding from the module plate and a relatively wide, horizontal bar portion on the free end of the stem portion. Each keyway includes a throat between an entry portion and a home portion and one of the keyways includes cantilevered resilient fingers terminating at the throat of the keyway, resiliently yielding in response to movement of the tab stem portion into the keyway throat, and snapping back following movement of the tab stem portion into the keyway home portion to latchingly engage the tab stem portion.
