Here a human operator may listen to the signals in the audio file and take appropriate action, such as calling the location of the alarm for verification or contacting a professional first responder(s).

    摘要: Heliostat operation under significantly reduced infrastructure requirements is disclosed. As part of a larger solar power generation system, a heliostat may function autonomously to track the sun and maintain constant reflection of solar radiation to a collection device for conversion to electrical power. The heliostat employs a local independent solar power supply to provide power to the positioning mechanism and controller for the heliostat. The controller receives sun position information from a sensor and/or a predetermined schedule. In addition, the controller for the heliostat may incorporate a wireless communications device for remote monitoring and directing operations of the heliostat.

    摘要: Mechanical systems and methods are disclosed for pointing a plurality of elements in an array in any direction within a near-hemispherical field of view without pointing the entire array as a single unit. A fixed frame and an adjuster frame disposed substantially parallel to and offset from each other are each coupled by universal joints to carriers for a plurality of elements. One or more drive mechanisms are used to move the adjuster frame relative to the fixed frame to produce coordinated pointing of the pointing axes of the plurality of elements. The systems and methods can be used in a variety of applications including pointing of solar concentrator receivers or antennas.

    摘要: The security detection system includes a detection unit capable of detecting a condition, said unit in communication with a remote central server. Where the detection unit is connected to the server via a dial-up modem, the detection system may be connected to a telephone seizure unit. Upon occurrence and detection of a condition, the detection unit prevents a telephone from communicating with a main telephone line, while still allowing said detection unit to communicate electronic information to the server, even upon lifting of the telephone receiver from the base. Once electronic information is sent to the server, a programmed database of the server may send the information according to a pre-determined designation. The server monitors whether a designated party has responded to the information, and if not, may send the information to a human monitoring station. The designated party may request and receive additional information from the detection unit, via the server.

The LEDs (62') of the display (22, 62, 66) are configured so that sequential portions of the image are interlaced and partially overlapped by the scanner (22) to provide a flat visual field which is free of raster lines. The display device (22, 62, 66) includes a second linearly-arrayed plurality of symbology LEDs (198) which are configured and positioned relative to the first plurality of LEDs (62') so that light from these LEDs is interlaced but not overlapped and so that symbology imagery presented by the second plurality of LEDs (198) is superimposed on the scene image presented to the user of the thermal imaging device (10).
