Abstract:
Systems and methods for measuring distances between a pallino and one or more bocce balls on a bocce court. More particularly, one or more cameras are mounted above the bocce court which detect the position of the bocce balls and the pallino and use one or more algorithms to make a distance measurement from each bocce ball to the pallino. These distances can then be sorted from closest to furthest such that scoring results can instantly be shown on a monitor mounted in or near the bocce court. A scoring function can keep track of a cumulative score, round by round, until a team or player is declared the winner.
Abstract:
A center shaft of a bent axis type axial piston pump/motor includes an outer race, which is attached to a shaft attachment hole of a cylinder block, has a shaft portion accommodation hole at one end and has a spring accommodation hole at the other end, and an inner shaft, which includes a shaft supporting spherical head portion having a large outer shape dimension at a distal end of a shaft base portion and attached to the shaft portion accommodation hole of the outer race through the shaft base portion.
Abstract:
The disclosed device easily and precisely satisfies a requested output range, and is provided with: a ΔΣ-modulator (12) which converts a digital input signal to a pulse signal; an input comparison device (11) which compares an input value that corresponds to the digital input signal, and a pre-set threshold value; and a thinned output control unit (14) which, when the result of the comparison by the input comparison device (11) shows that the input value is less than the threshold value, reduces the output value corresponding to the input value in accordance with the size of the difference between the input value and the threshold value, and sets the output value to 0 when the input value is 0.
Abstract:
An image pickup apparatus capable of reducing variations in the time it takes for mirror bounce to end caused by adjustments made to the angle of a mirror, making assembly of the image pickup apparatus more efficient, and making the image pickup apparatus more compact. A mirror unit comes into contact with a positioning pin so as to be positioned in the shooting optical path. Rotating an adjustment member, on which a lock lever is rotatably fitted and to which the positioning pin is fixed, causes the mirror unit to move following the adjustment member. The lock lever and the positioning pin eccentrically move according to the rotation of the adjustment member and move in the same direction by the same amount. A gap between the mirror unit and a lock pin of the lock lever is constant.

A photonic crystal surface emission laser includes an active layer, and a photonic crystal layer made of a plate-shaped slab provided with modified refractive index area having a refractive index different from that of the slab, the modified refractive index areas being arranged on each of the lattice points of a first rhombic-like lattice and a second rhombic-like lattice in which both diagonals are mutually parallel and only one diagonal is of a different length, wherein ax1, ax2, ay, and n satisfy the following inequality: 1 a x 1 - 1 a x 2 ( 1 a x 1 + 1 a x 2 ) 2 + ( 2 a y ) 2 ≤ 1 n .
Abstract:
A camera including a drive source, where the drive source is driven so that a charge member enters a moving locus of a mirror drive member when driving a mirror from a mirror down position to a mirror up position. After the charge member has entered the moving locus of the mirror drive member, the mirror drive member is moved from the mirror down position to the mirror up position by an urging force of the mirror drive spring.

Abstract:
A voice recognition control system capable of realizing control of entire voice-recognizable electronic devices through voice recognition. This control system includes a voice input unit for inputting an operator's voice, a voice recognition unit and a controller constituting a control means which recognizes the operator's voice obtained from the voice input unit and controls input/output of an MD player having a voice recognition table where the operator's voice is stored in advance as an expected value. When an unregistered MD player has been connected first, the voice recognition unit registers the voice recognition table provided from the MD player. And upon input of the operator's voice by the voice input unit, the control means compares the operator's voice with the preregistered voice recognition table, and then the controller controls the input/output of the MD player in accordance with the result of comparing the operator's voice with the voice recognition table.
