    摘要： An electronic device includes a housing and an electronic module. The housing includes a transparent main body, a masking layer partially adhered to the transparent main body, and a cover. A bare area is exposed forming the masking layer to define a transparent window. The housing defines a receiving chamber and an open end communicating with the receiving chamber. The electronic module includes a touch display screen. The electronic module is received in the receiving chamber, the touch display screen aligns to the transparent window, and the cover seals the open end. The present disclosure further discloses a housing for the electronic device and a method for making the housing.

The printed circuit board can be attached to the base, and the cover can lie adjacent to the printed circuit board. The capacitive switch can be configured to change state when an object is close to the cover. The cover can be configured such that it can be detached from the remainder of the information handling system while the printed circuit board remains attached to the base. The configuration of the printed circuit board and cover can be particularly useful when maintaining a keyboard or a touch pad or when replacing the cover.

The outer surface defines a plurality of light-transmitting recesses that have been configured in a desired pattern. Each of the recesses has a gradually changing thickness. The at least one light source is fixed in the chamber and transmits light to the recesses, thereby displaying the desired pattern of the recesses on the outer surface of the housing.
