Abstract: A conveying system for longitudinally transporting elongate items, including a circulating traction belt and a supporting structure for the circulating traction belt, wherein a plurality of supports are connected by means of at least one traction element to form the circulating traction belt, wherein each of the supports comprises an indentation for supporting the elongate item. Each of the supports is fastened at at least two spaced-apart fastening points to the at least one traction element and the circulating traction belt is mounted, at least in a conveying region of the conveying system, by rollers so as to be movable with respect to the supporting structure.

Abstract: A film-wrapping apparatus for the automatic film-wrapping of articles is provided that includes a conveying device for conveying an article through a film-wrapping channel of the film-wrapping apparatus. The film-wrapping apparatus has a film-supply device arranged above the film-wrapping channel. The film-wrapping apparatus also includes at least two movably arranged grippers and a sealing device. The at least two grippers are predefinably movably arranged between a supply position and a sealing position. The grippers, in the supply position, grip two opposite corners of the film material supplied by the film-supply device and pull the film material from the supply position into the sealing position and hold the material. In the sealing position, the grippers are arranged in a sealing plane and substantially level with an upper side of the conveying device. The sealing device seals the two side edges of the article that are arranged in the sealing plane.

Abstract: A wood-thawing installation for thawing frozen pieces of raw timber includes a thawing channel. The thawing channel has an entrance and an exit for the pieces of raw timber for the raw wood pieces to enter and exit the thawing channel. A plurality of nozzles are located on the thawing channel to introduce a thawing liquid into the thawing channel. A first section of the thawing channel and a second section of the thawing channel are located between the entrance and the exit. The exit is closer to the second section than to the first section. At least one of the nozzles is located in the first section and connected via a pumping line to a suction opening located in the second section. Further disclosed is a method for thawing frozen raw wood pieces.

Abstract: A feeder for feeding sawn wood pieces from an accumulating conveyor to a drag conveyor. The feeder includes at least one wheel having an axis of rotation and at least one control device and at least one first clamping element and at least one second clamping element are fastened to the wheel. The feeder is designed to clamp a sawn wood piece in place in a conveying region between the first and the second clamping element during a rotation of the wheel and to transport it in a clamped state along the conveying region. The control device is designed to control the first clamping element independently of the second clamping element.
