Abstract:
The coating composition includes a methacrylic resin prepared by copolymerization of styrene or a substituted styrene (A), a methacrylic ester obtained from an alcohol having at least two carbon atoms and methacrylic acid (B), and an olefinic compound having at least one carboxylic group (C), in which the molar ratio thereof is 1:(0.05 to 44.5):(0.12 to 13). A metal sheet lubricated with the coating composition has superior characteristics of dissolution of the film in an alkaline solution, chemical processing, paint dryness, blocking resistance, corrosion resistance, stability of coating composition, and press formability (powdering resistance and galling resistance).
Abstract:
A highly corrosion resistant steel sheet for fuel tank comprising a lowermost layer of Zn or Zn-based plating layer deposited on each side of the steel sheet; a chemical conversion film deposited on each of the Zn or Zn-based plating layer; a metal powder-containing organic resin film deposited on one of the chemical conversion film, said metal powder-containing organic resin film containing Al and Ni metal powders and an amine modified epoxy resin; and a silica-containing organic resin film deposited on the other chemical conversion film, said silica-containing organic resin film containing at least one resin having at least one functional group selected from hydroxyl group, isocyanate group, carboxyl group, glycidyl group, and amino group; silica; and a lubricant. The steel sheet of the present invention has excellent corrosion resistance, press workability, resistance weldability and brazing ability, and therefore, the steel sheet of the present invention is particularly useful when it is used in contact with an alcohol or an alcohol-blended gasoline.
Abstract:
A blackened steel strip having improved blackness is produced in an efficient manner by anodizing a zinc alloy-plated steel strip in a solution containing 5 to 100 g/l of ClO.sub.3.sup.- and 10 to 300 g/l of SO.sub.4.sup.2- at pH 0.5 to 2.5 at a temperature of 30.degree. to 75.degree. C. and with a quantity of electricity of 10 to 300 C/dm.sup.2, and forming an acrylic resin chromate layer on the anodized steel strip to a thickness of 0.3 to 2.5 .mu.m. The solution may contain 5 to 100 g/l in total of at least one co-additive selected from Cl.sup.-, NO.sub.3.sup.-, H.sub.2 O.sub.2, Ni.sup.2+, Co.sup.2+, Fe.sup.2+, and Mn.sup.2+. The acrylic resin chromate layer contains 2 to 10 parts by weight of in the form of a chromate Cr per 100 parts by weight of acrylic resin.
Abstract:
A mobile body corrosion measuring apparatus having a corrosion sensor installed in at least one portion of a mobile body, the corrosion sensor measuring a corrosion state at the portion and outputting corrosion data; a vehicle (mobile body) running speed sensor installed in the mobile body, the running speed sensor measuring a running speed of the mobile body and outputting the running speed data; and a data collection unit that acquires the corrosion data from the corrosion sensor and the running speed data from the vehicle speed sensor at the same time and collects the corrosion data and the running speed data with the corrosion data and the running speed data associated with each other. Due to above structure, a corrosion state specific to the mobile body can be accurately measured.

Abstract:
The present inventors have found that a siderophore-iron (III) ion chelate complex is highly absorbed in the body; significantly increases the blood hemoglobin concentration, the serum iron concentration and the concentration of iron stored in the liver; and causes no adverse effects on the body. On the basis of these findings, the present inventors provide iron supplementing agents, agents for the prevention or treatment of iron defeciency anemia, food additives and food compositions, each of which contains a siderophore and iron (III) ions, preferably in the form of a chelate complex.
Abstract:
Proposed are novel ink-jet recording sheet having high water resistance, excellent transparency of the ink-receptive layer, ink absorptivity and color developability as well as the advantages of absence of surface tackiness and blocking and a liquid coating composition for forming the ink-receptive coating layer of the recording sheet. The liquid coating composition comprises, as a uniform blend in an aqueous medium: (A) an acetoacetylated polyvinyl alcohol; (B) a polyvinylpyrrolidone resin; and (C) an acidic aqueous dispersion of a colloidal silica, each in a specified weight proportion, in a limited weight proportion.
Abstract:
A moisture sensitive element in which a functional film is formed in contact with opposing electrodes arranged on a substrate. The element includes a mechanism for measuring the temperature of the functional film. The functional film has a porous structure made from a polymer material with hydrophilic properties and includes fine pores. A holding film is formed on inner walls of the pores and made from another polymer material having hydrophobic properties. An electrolytic salt is held within the pores.
Abstract:
A hydrophilic polymer material such as polyvinyl alcohol is formed into a porous film (301). A film (holding film) (303) made from a hydrophobic polymer material such as polyvinyl acetate is formed on the inner walls of a large number of pores (302) formed in the porous film (301). Lithium chloride (304) is held in these pores (302).
Abstract:
