Abstract:
An active magnetic antenna with a ferrite core having a winding is provided, forming a frame magnetic antenna which is connected with a low-noise transistor, to amplify a signal of the frame magnetic antenna. A base of the transistor is connected directly to one contact of the winding, and a second contact of the winding is capable of shifting a voltage of the base of the transistor. The impedance of the frame magnetic antenna is adjusted as a complex conjugate with an impedance of the base of the transistor of the low-noise amplifier, and the winding eliminates its own resonances.
Abstract:
A built-in antenna of a portable wireless terminal is provided. The antenna includes a first antenna radiator, a carrier, and at least one second antenna radiator. The first antenna radiator transmits/receives a signal. The first antenna radiator is attached to a carrier. The at least one second antenna radiator is detachable from the carrier and is electrically connected with the first antenna radiator when coupled to the carrier to update a resonance frequency in cooperation with the first antenna radiator.
Abstract:
A device and method for controlling the baud rate between a portable telephone and an external device is provided. A first input/output (I/O) port is connected to the portable telephone which transmits and receives data to/from the portable telephone, and a second I/O port is connected to the external device which transmits and receives data to/from the external device. A controller interposed between the first and second I/O ports, detects a first baud rate of the portable telephone, converts an initial baud rate of the first I/O port to the first baud rate, and transmits the data to the portable telephone via the first I/O port. The controller also detects a second baud rate of the external device, converts an initial baud rate of the second I/O port to the second baud rate, and transmits the data to the external device via the second I/O port.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a remote control of a portable terminal, and more particularly, to a method for remotely controlling functions of a portable terminal, and a system thereof. A method for remotely controlling a function of a portable terminal includes receiving a request for remote control of at least one function of the portable terminal, setting up the requested at least one function for remote control, determining whether an event corresponding to the set up function is generated and performing the set up function if the event is generated.

Abstract:
A remote control system and method are disclosed that can remotely control user data stored in a remote portable terminal. The system includes a slave terminal, set in a remote control function, for storing the user data, and a master terminal for requesting the user data from the slave terminal and receiving it. The slave terminal authenticates the master terminal when the master terminal requests the user data therefrom, compresses the requested user data, according to the size of user data, during the authentication, and transmits the compressed user data to the master terminal. The slave terminal includes a memory for storing the user data, information regarding the master terminal, and a remote control password, a remote controlling unit for extracting the requested user data when the authenticated master terminal requests a transmission of the user data from the slave terminal, wherein the master terminal is authenticated by the stored remote control password, a compressing unit for compressing the user data by a compressing algorithm if the size of the user data is greater than a reference size, and a Radio Frequency (RF) communication unit for transmitting the user data to the master terminal.
Abstract:
A communication terminal and an antenna apparatus of the communication terminal are provided. The communication terminal includes a body having a circuit board, an antenna element which is mounted inside the body and connected electrically to the circuit board and, when electric current is supplied via a main plate, resonant in a resonant frequency band for transmitting and receiving signals, and a metal case having an antenna pattern which is coupled to an edge of the body to be resonant and, when the antenna element is resonant, in the resonant frequency band for supporting operation of the antenna element.
