Abstract: According to an embodiment, a medical device is disclosed. The medical device includes an external unit and an implantable unit. The external unit includes an electronic unit operationally coupled to a transmitter coil that is configured transmit power and/or data signal over a wireless transcutaneous link, a coil unit comprising a loop structure with the transmitter coil being wound around and along at least a part of length of the loop structure, and a fixation unit configured to attach the loop structure to a user's body i) proximal to an implantable receiver coil that is configured to be implanted within a body part, and ii) around a body part of a user such that a part of the body part is positioned in a hollow section of the loop structure. The implantable unit includes the implantable receiver coil configured to receive the power and/or data signal over the wireless transcutaneous link, a processing unit configured to i) process the received data signal to control functionalities of at least one of the components of the implantable unit, and/or ii) utilize the received power for operation of at least one of the components of the implantable unit. The wireless transcutaneous link includes a coupling between the transmitter coil and the receiver coil, and when the loop structure is attached using the fixation unit, at least a substantial number of magnetic field lines generated in response to excitation of the transmitter coil passes through the implantable receiver coil.

Abstract: Front end circuits and associated apparatus, systems, and methods for use in electronic devices such as buried utility locators are disclosed. The circuits include receivers and filters on input signals that are coupled to ground rather than differentially. A multiplexing circuit allows shared use of amplifiers, and analog-to-digital converters via a switching mechanism for selectively making or breaking electrical connection to the receiver channels for efficient sharing of electronics resources while minimizing crosstalk interference and advantageously reducing costs.

Abstract: Disclosed is a combo antenna module in which an accommodation groove is formed in a coil pattern and a connection pattern connected to a coil pattern disposed on another surface is disposed in the accommodation groove so as to minimize a mounting space and provide antenna performance greater than or equal to that of a conventional antenna module. The disclosed combo antenna module comprises a coil pattern for short-range communication and a coil pattern for wireless power transmission. The coil pattern for wireless power transmission has the accommodation groove formed by varying the line width of the coil pattern disposed on one surface, and the connection pattern for connecting the coil patterns disposed on the other surface is disposed in the accommodation groove so as to minimize a mounting space and provide antenna performance greater than or equal to that of a conventional antenna module.

Abstract: The system performs communication between two systems, a master system, that creates an alternating magnetic field by means of which it dialogues with one or more slave systems, which respond at frequencies other than those generated by the master by a non-linear magnetic core generating harmonics of higher order than those of the magnetic field created by the master. The generation of harmonics is controlled by the slave by a short-circuit coil which enables the data transmission from the slave to the master. The slave system can have its own power supply or it can be powered by the short-circuit coil. This allows microcontrollers in the slaves to be powered and give them intelligence and a large storage capacity, making them ideal for control security and monitoring processes. The excitation frequency can be varied because the functionality of the slaves does not depend on the frequency of the exciter field.

The mobile terminal may realize the coil antenna module including a plurality of coils configured to perform diverse manners of wireless communication in a limited area.
