    摘要: A sheet recognizing device and method for precisely checking the authentication of a sheet by performing recognition of color and watermark of a sheet and detecting the subtle characteristic of a hue ink printed on one side of the sheet. The predetermined angles to a sheet, a second light source for projecting light from a vertical direction, first and second light-receiving elements for receiving light at angles at which the hues of the hue ink printed area originated from the lights from the first and second light sources are different, a third light-receiving element opposed to the second light source with the sheet interposed therebetween, first computing means for computing a first color tone depending on the hue ink printed area on the basis of the light-reception outputs from the first light-receiving element due to the light from the first light source and from the second light-receiving element due to the light from the third light source, second computing means for computing a second color tone independent of the hue ink printed area on the basis of the light-reception outputs from the first light-receiving element due to the light from the second light source and from the third light-receiving element due to the light from the third light source, whereby the sheet is checked on the basis of the computation results by the first and second computing means.

    摘要: A sheet identifying device and method for identifying the kind of sheet or checking whether a sheet is a genuine or counterfeit one correctly without influence of the state of the sheet. Data on the image of a sheet is acquired, and the image data is binarized according to a watermark region extraction threshold. Image data on the watermark region is extracted according to the sheet image data. The watermark region image data is binarized according to a watermark pattern extraction threshold. The center of gravity of the watermark region is calculated on the basis of the watermark region image data. The watermark region image data is divided into divisions using the center of gravity of the watermark region as the origin. From the watermark region image data, image data on a predetermined specific region is extracted. Values of distinctive features such as the center of gravity and area of the watermark pattern included in the specific region image data are extracted. According to the value of distinctive feature, the kind of the sheet is identified and the sheet is authenticated.

    摘要: A light-shielding container for a light-sensitive material has a light-shielding cloth attached to an opening in the container through which the light-sensitive material is passed. The light-shielding cloth shields the opening from light and is formed from a base fabric and a pile section. The pile section includes black dope-dyed threads formed by incorporating black dope-dyed threads containing carbon black into the base fabric and black-dyed threads formed by incorporating black-dyed threads. The proportion of the black dope-dyed threads in the total pile is 5 wt % to 60 wt %. The single filament fineness of the black dope-dyed threads is thicker than that of the black-dyed threads. The overall pile density of the black dope-dyed threads and the black-dyed threads is 30,000 to 55,000 filaments/cm2. The black dope-dyed threads and the black-dyed threads are arranged in stripes substantially orthogonal to the direction in which the light-sensitive material is passed.
