摘要： Provided is a computer-implemented method for authenticating an identification document. The method includes determining, with at least one processor, whether image data associated with the identification document has at least one predetermined indicia. In response to determining that the image data has the at least one predetermined indicia, the method includes determining whether the at least one predetermined indicia corresponds to at least one invalidation mark on the identification document, and, in response to determining that the at least one predetermined indicia corresponds to the at least one invalidation mark, determining, that the identification document is invalid. In response to determining that the identification document is invalid, the method includes preventing or causing the prevention of at least one action from being performed. A system and computer program product for authenticating identification documents are also disclosed.

The Classification process involves the creation of a Unique Pair Feature Vector which provides the best discrimination information for each pair of Document Classes at every node in a Pairwise Comparison Nodal Network. The Nodal Network has a plurality of nodes, each node corresponding to the best discrimination information between two potential document classes. By performing a pairwise comparison of the potential documents using this nodal network, the document is classified. After classification, the document can be authenticated for validity.

摘要： The precision of detection of abnormal media is increased using a unique identification number. A banknote deposit/withdrawal mechanism of an automated teller machine confirms whether a banknote having the same serial number is among transaction banknotes by comparing each transaction serial number obtained by reading the serial number for each transaction banknote with other transaction serial numbers. Thereby, when counterfeit notes having the same serial number are included among the transaction banknotes, the banknote deposit/withdrawal mechanism cannot determine a banknote as counterfeit in a process of collating the serial numbers with a counterfeit note serial number list, but can determine that a banknote is counterfeit in a collation process between the transaction serial numbers. In this case, the banknote deposit/withdrawal mechanism can prevent counterfeit notes from being transferred to a user by transporting a relevant transaction banknote together with all other transaction banknotes to a reject compartment.
