摘要： Disclosed is a method of reacting glycerol to form polyglycerol or mixed ethers of glycerol or other alcohols (e.g., polyols). In some embodiments, the method comprises reacting glycerol in the presence of a fatty acid-containing compound and a metal catalyst to form polyglycerol. In other embodiments, the method comprises reacting glycerol and/or an alcohol in the presence of a fatty acid-containing compound and a metal catalyst to form a mixed ether.
