摘要: The present invention relates to methods of producing industrial products from plant lipids, particularly from vegetative parts of plants. In particular, the present invention provides oil products such as biodiesel and synthetic diesel and processes for producing these, as well as plants having an increased level of one or more non-polar lipids such as triacylglycerols and an increased total non-polar lipid content. In one particular embodiment, the present invention relates to combinations of modifications in two or more of lipid handling enzymes, oil body proteins, decreased lipid catabolic enzymes and/or transcription factors regulating lipid biosynthesis to increase the level of one or more non-polar lipids and/or the total non-polar lipid content and/or mono-unsaturated fatty acid content in plants or any part thereof. In an embodiment, the present invention relates to a process for extracting lipids. In another embodiment, the lipid is converted to one or more hydrocarbon products in harvested plant vegetative parts to produce alkyl esters of the fatty acids which are suitable for use as a renewable biodiesel fuel.

摘要: Methods of producing a biodiesel derived from cocoa butter and in which the biodiesel possesses a cloud point as low as −61° F. generally include a two-step cold stabilization process in which at least two separate processes primarily aimed at reducing the cloud point of the resultant biodiesel are carried out. In some embodiments, one of the two cold stabilization steps involves desaturating the cocoa butter prior to transesterifying the cocoa butter for form biodiesel. Desaturating cocoa butter may include using a desaturase to convert saturated fatty acids present in the cocoa butter to unsaturated fatty acids. The second step of the two-step cold stabilization may employ urea clathration, which results in the formation of a lattice-like structure of urea having saturated fatty acid methyl esters trapped therein and which can easily be removed from the biodiesel. As a result of the two-step cold stabilization process, the amount of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids in the biodiesel is reduced and the cloud point of the biodiesel is correspondingly lowered.

摘要: The present invention relates to a process for preparing a deodorized oil with in-situ prepared mono-acylglycerides and the oil obtained as such. It relates to a process for preparing a deodorized oil containing in-situ prepared mono-acylglycerides by interesterifying in presence of an enzyme a glyceride containing fraction wherein the ratio of free and esterified hydroxyl groups (OH) to free and esterified fatty acids (FA) is greater than 1.07 and obtaining an oily composition containing less than 1% w/w, preferably less than 0.5% free fatty acids. Furthermore it relates to a deodorized oil containing 30 to 70% triglycerides, 20 to 50% di-acyl glycerides, 1.5 to 25% mono-acyl glycerides.
