    摘要: A ball screw with inner ball circulation whose transfer displacement to size ratio is large, resulting in a device which has an optimized size with a positioning accuracy measured in microns, and a linear actuator equipped with the ball screw, are disclosed. The ball screw includes a plurality of balls arranged in a space between a hemispherical groove formed on a cylindrical inner surface of a housing and a hemispherical groove of a rotating male screw. The ball screw also includes a ball circulation tube with its cylindrical outer surface formed with the hemispherical groove of the male screw and with the groove corresponding to the hemispherical groove of the housing. The ball circulation tube is formed with ball openings penetrating from both ends of the male screw toward the inner part. The ball screw also includes a ball circulation section, which fits inside the ball circulation tube, and has a hemispherical inner return path formed on its outer cylindrical surface. By coupling the ball circulation section to the ball circulation tube, the inner return path has a start point and end point which are matched with the ball openings of the ball circulation tube and the ball circulation tube and the ball circulation section can rotate together as a fixed unit with the balls circulating along the inner return path of the ball circulation section.

    摘要: A transporting apparatus which can horizontally transport a carrier using an air bearing of which a rotational degree of freedom is kept relative to a surface of a base. The transporting apparatus is movable along a surface of a base and includes an air bearing placed on a base, a connector connected to an upper part of the air bearing and provided with a supporter in a center thereof, the supporter having a flexure hinge structure to allow the air bearing to be freely rotated relative to the base, and the carrier supported by the supporter of the connector to be transported while keeping a level with respect to the surface of the base. With this configuration, a movement of the air bearing does not affect the carrier, thereby improving accuracy and reliability of the transporting apparatus.

    摘要: An ink-jet printing apparatus and a head position adjustment method which are capable of adjusting respective positions of multiple ink-jet heads in either a simultaneous manner or in an independent manner. The head position adjustment method can be applied to an ink-jet printing apparatus including a movable support table, a first ink-jet head fixedly coupled to the support table and provided with nozzles to eject ink, and a second ink-jet head arranged to be movable with respect to the first ink-jet head and provided with nozzles to eject ink. The head position method can include detecting respective positions of the first and second ink-jet heads, comparing the detected position of the first ink-jet head with a target position of the first ink-jet head, moving the support table to correct the position of the first ink-jet head, comparing the detected position of the second ink-jet head with a target position of the second ink-jet head if the detected position of the first ink-jet head is different from the target position of the first ink-jet head, and moving the second ink-jet head with respect to the first ink-jet head to correct the position of the second ink-jet head if the detected position of the second ink-jet head is different from the target position of the second ink-jet head.

    摘要: A six-degrees-of-freedom parallel mechanism for micro-positioning work is disclosed. This mechanism freely performs a desired motion of translation and rotation of a moving platform using internal and external links actuated by linear actuators capable of precisely controlling the link positions, thus being effectively used as a 6dof parallel mechanism required to carry out a variety of micro-positioning works within a limited workspace. In the mechanism of this invention, a moving platform 10 is placed at an upper position, with a multiaxial spherical joint 40 mounted to the central portion of the moving platform 10. A base platform 20 is placed at a lower position of the mechanism. Three external links 30 couple the moving platform 10 to the base platform 20, while three internal links 50 couple the multiaxial spherical joint 40 to the base platform 20. In this mechanism, the internal links 50 are commonly coupled to the multiaxial spherical joint 40 so as to form a tetrahedral structure. In addition, each of the internal and external links 50 and 30 is a linear actuator designed to be precisely controllable in its position.
